I am asking any one out there who can help to please help.
My son, Max Michael and Louis Lowenthal challenged each other on a daily basis in the pool at Gilman School in Baltimore swimming for Mariner Swim Club. They were" pool" friends, as they went to different schools and lived in different neighborhoods.
Everyday they were there from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday and back there on Saturday mornings no matter the weather....at meets they kept each other calm, Louis counting for Max's distance events, Max cheering Louis on in his sprint events. They were always making each other swim faster, all the while laughing and joking and keeping each other focused on their goal of always getting stronger, faster and still having fun.
Tragically, last Sunday Louis drowned at swim practice. This past Wednesday, after three days in a coma, Louis died.
Max wants to go to the funeral in Baltimore tomorrow to say good bye to his friend. I do not have the money to buy is ticket, no points to use, no credit cards to charge. If you know anyone who might be able to help please share this message.
This is a mom's simple request to allow her young son some closure, to say good bye to his friend.
