MEAT the MOVIE:
Indiegogo Phase 3.5
POST-PRODUCTION
Production on MEAT the Movie has wrapped!
Now can you help us ensure it SOUNDS just as good as it looks?
Our Phase 3 Indiegogo Campaign is still live, and we need your help more than ever before!
Thanks to the INDEMAND feature that Indiegogo offers, we can continue to keep this campaign live and running until post-production on our film is finally complete! We are looking for contributors to help us secure another $5k - $8k to assist toward the audio and score. We have been funding the post-production phase out of pocket, but it has simply become more than we can manage if we are hoping to hit our deadline of January 1st, 2025.
Can you help us?
WILL you help us?

Following to the early support of our first two crowdfunding campaigns, as well as through the assistance of several key backers, our project has now raised over $35,000! We have used those funds to film a whopping 80% of of the movie! This leaves only a select few key scenes remaining to be shot, and they mostly consist of major kills, which is quite literally the MEAT and bones of what we're making here.. We've created a passionate, erotic, and terrifying tale that speaks to the struggles of our community during this time, while also delivering on the high volumes of horror and gore that genre fans have come to expect.

Back for thirds?
Thanks to the support of our initial crowdfunding campaigns, we've managed to raise over $35,000 which we invested in filming the vast majority of our film. Trust us when we say that we couldn't be happier with the results. But even with all of that work being completed, there's still one final stretch of production ahead of us and we need your help to reach (and ideally surpass) our final crowdfunding goal of $10,000, which we hope to achieve over the next 60 days.
The funds we've raised so far have gone towards filming and executing a whopping 80% of our movie. We've created a story that's both passionate and suspenseful, and we're confident that it has the potential to make a significant impact in the film industry.
Since our last campaign completed, we've filmed a vast majority of the film, worked with RuPaul's Drag Race icon Pandora Boxx, and wrapped production for several of our major acting talents. That's a lot of work to tackle over the past few months, but there's still a good amount work to be done and we're up for the challenge!

To complete the rest of the film, we need to raise an additional $15,000 MINIMUM. This includes the cost of cast compensation, production expenses, post-production costs, marketing and distribution efforts, and contingencies. Here's a breakdown of our overall cost distribution reflecting our budgetary needs and how our funds will be distributed.

To break this all down for you, our finalized budget includes...
- 21.7% for cast compensation, lodging, etc.
- 21.7% for SFX makeup and prosthetic effects used in a multitude of kill sequences.
- 13% for catering
- 10.9% for locations
- 10.9% for contingencies and unforeseen expenses that may arise during production
- 8.7% for art department, set-design, props, etc.
- 8.7% for audio
- 4.3% for wardrobe
And believe us when we say that every single dollar that is raised will be used efficiently and effectively to create a sexy and thrilling horror film that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community's diversity, strength, and resilience.
We know that MEAT has the potential to make a significant impact in the film industry, and we're committed to making it the best it can be. Join us on this journey, and let's create a film that excites and inspires audiences while celebrating the sensuality and strength of our community.

Feelin' it deep in your GUTS!
The impact of queer cinema telling queer stories featuring queer characters cannot be overstated. For too long, representation of the LGBTQ+ community on screen was limited to stereotypical caricatures used for comedic relief or shallow side stories. But times have changed, and audiences are demanding more. They want to see themselves reflected on screen in honest, authentic, and nuanced ways, and they want to know that these stories are being crafted and told be queer artists. Individuals who accurately and authentically represent queer culture and the vast rainbow of personalities that exist within it.

MEAT is a film that tackles the struggles of finding one's identity as a member of the queer community in the face of societal pressures and the current political climate. The story is a powerful reminder of the importance of visibility and representation. By supporting this film, you are not only helping to bring a queer story to the screen, but you are also contributing to the larger movement of amplifying the voices and stories of underrepresented communities.
Your support will help make it possible to complete the film and bring it to audiences who crave and deserve stories like these. In a world that can often feel unwelcoming and unsafe for queer individuals, films like MEAT provide hope, inspiration, and a sense of community. Join us in making a difference and creating a brighter future for all.
