Ground Breaking Update!
We have cast Andi René Christensen - the first non-binary actor in a romantic leading role in a Holiday RomCom!
The Story
Hi Everyone, Christin Baker here and I am back with my 4th Lesbian/Queer Holiday RomCom! I really love making them and I think it is so important for the community to celebrate the holiday season with as many cheesy Lesbian/Queer Holiday RomComs as possible. This year I am making a movie called "Merry and Gay".
"Merry and Gay" is a sweet, lighthearted lesbian/queer holiday romcom.
Broadway star, Becca, comes home for the holidays to see her family and find out if there is still a spark with her high school sweetheart Sam. Sam is hesitant to let Becca in, but their moms have other plans. They conspire to get Sam and Becca together.
What We Need & What You Get
We need help with production. Our movie is more expensive now because our script has a much larger cast than in the past and because of COVID requirements.
We have several fun perks. (some you have seen before) - from a digital download of the movie to a limited-edition "Merry and Gay" beanie to Co-Producer credit, check them out!
Cast:
We have cast Dia Frampton as Becca!
The Production Team
I have branched out and added two fantastic producers to my team. I am so lucky to have these fantastic ladies joining me to make this movie happen.
Lissa Forehan- Produced Scare BNB with me this past January and was a producer on More Beautiful For Having Been Broken.
Giulia Prenna- Spent a few years in the studio system before moving to produce her own projects. She Produced the movie The Fallout which will be on HBOMax soon.
About me: Christin Baker has been producing and distributing innovative, high-quality films and series for more than 10 years through Tello Films. We love strong women, and we don’t feel that there are enough stories about us. Our mission and passion is to produce content that includes the wonderful spectrum of strong women that is often lacking in mainstream media.
The Backstory
Merry and Gay will be Tello’s fourth queer holiday romcom, following in the successful footsteps of Season of Love , I Hate New Year's, and Christmas at the Ranch. It is also the third and final winner of Tello Films 2018 Queer Holiday Feature Pitch contest.
