The Judith Cart is designed to provide a work surface at a bed or chair, but it can also double as a bar serving cart!  A storage area under the table surface can be used to store computers, books, newspapers or other items.  Choose your caddie insert to hold remotes, medications and other items you need close at hand. You can even choose our ice bucket insert!

  • Portable: The lightweight and durable design allows for easy transport throughout the home.
  • Adjustable Height: The Judith Cart can be adjusted for perfect positioning alongside any bed height.
  • Customizable: Interchangeable storage inserts accommodate a variety of needs. Choose an ice bucket, locking top enclosure, or open insert.
  • Powered Up: Equipped with standard 120V plug-ins, just plug it in, and The Judith Cart is powered to keep your blender or laptop going strong. Use the Power Port to recharge wireless chargers and power up anything with a USB port.
  • Multipurpose: The beauty of all Millea Living furnishings is their . . . well . . . beauty!  The Judith Cart can also function as a bar cart, work station or side table anywhere in your home.
  • Sustainable and Durable: We strive to use recycled materials that also can be easily recycled, as well as long-lasting materials and components.
  • Easy to Clean: Life can be messy! The non-porous surfaces of The Judith Bench allow easy cleanup of splashes and spills, and the removable inserts are dishwasher safe.

Too often DLAs can make a home look or feel like a hospital.

Millea Living mixes engineering with artistry to create practical tools that are inspirational rather than institutional.  With this funding campaign, we are planing to prototype and manufacture the first run of the Judith Cart

The Baby Boomer generation is one of the largest groups of population and they are turning 65 every eleven-seconds.  The Baby Boomer generation has redefined every thing about American life — the way schools were designed, the way our homes are designed, the structure of the work week and the nature of work itself, the role of fitness in our daily lives and they are going to redefine what it means to age and grow older.  They will not be satisfied with unattractive, function only products.  They have had the largest influence on consumer driven decisions and are often the first adopters of new ideas and technologies.  We are able to keep people living at home whether they are aging or experiencing a disability, and this group of people does not want their home to look or feel like a hospital.  The need for well designed daily living aids that can blend into their surroundings and provide the assistance and safety for those that need them. Millea Living is addressing that need to allow people to live at home with safety, dignity and independence.

Our team has already produced the Judith Bench

The Judith Cart will be engineered and manufactured by our fabricators of the Judith Bench who have been partners in streamlining manufacturing, material selection, and finishing.  They are highly enthusiastic about our company and ready to take on our next challenge!

University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business - Minnesota Cup Finalist

Millea Living was selected out of 2,000 applications to participate in the 2019 MN Cup.  This competition provided mentorship, classes and experts in all facets of business to assist finalists with their start up businesses.  We made it to the final round and were so grateful for the help and advice we received.  During this competition, we honed our business plan, had a hard look at what it will take to make a viable business with our company and got very clear on the direction and market that Millea Living is working to capture.  We feel that further success is right around the corner and we can use your help getting there!

At Millea Living, we believe all people, no matter their life situation, are entitled to dignity, autonomy and well-being. That is why we have designed a family of home products that help people live their lives with pride and purpose. Our products mix engineering with artistry and are practical tools that are deeply personal. They offer beauty instead of bulk, are inspirational rather than institutional, and will help more people lead happy, empowered and independent lives.

Jackie Millea - AIA, ASID, is an award winning architect and interior designer.  She believes the spaces we inhabit should be both beautiful and functional for all ages and abilities.  Her life's work has been dedicated to ensuring just that.  As she became a young designer, her father became a quadriplegic.  She quickly realized that even one step was a barrier to inclusion.  She considers it a designer's social responsibility to design spaces and products that can accommodate and welcome anyone — and remain livable for throughout a person’s a lifetime.

Jennifer Noll, has 30+ years of Business Administration, Sales and Marketing experience. Before devoting her work full-time to Millea Living, she assisted in the start up of a new staffing agency. She has worked to enhance communications between product engineers and manufacturers to bring a better product to market. She has been celebrated for her acumen in increasing revenue across the board through her management and leadership skills.

We have self funded the first three years of Millea Living. During that time, we have created our brand and marketing strategy, designed the entire Judith Collection which includes a bench, a wall-mounted bench, a cart, a bed stability rail, toilet stability bars and grab bars.  We have prototyped and produced the Judith Bench which is available to the public now.  With this funding, we are planing to prototype and manufacture the first run of the Judith Cart

We have found that educating the public about the need for better designed assistive products is highly important. There are very few companies focusing on this growing need.  Most people are unaware of the safety and independence issues that many people face. The funding will also be used to take advantage of opportunities to speak, write and educate people on the challenges and opportunities about design for all ages and abilities.
