Welcome

Welcome to our campaign! We love to talk about movies so much, that we decided to make our own movie. It only made sense that our first feature film would be a horror film since it's what we love. We recently finished the script and are getting ready to start the storyboard process. Our goal is to make one of the scariest (and funniest) horror movies that take inspiration from the horror movies that we love. Our film will also take inspiration from growing up in Texas as well as making a film centered around the Latin experience as well. The goal is to also to give a truly horrific movie experience but at the same time pushing the limits of what horror can be. Inspirations for this film are movies such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Scream franchise. We want a movie that will have some great scares but also some good social commentary and some laughs throughout. We can't reveal all the secrets to the film but just think of classic horror goodness mixed in with what makes new age horror great.  We love the 80's slashers that still hold up today but also the films from A24 and Neon are huge inspirations.

Plot Line

A man is on the brink of losing his livelihood, along with his sanity. Ultimately ending in a bloody mess. We follow a man who is pushed into a corner and decides that he has to fight back even turning on all the beliefs he held before. The movie is a lens of a man that is turned into a monster due to the circumstances far out of his control. 

What We Need & What You Get

We know making a film is not a walk through the park, so this is the reason we want to be able to get as many professionals on board. The vision is done but the film is collaborative, and we need all of the help we can get.

The amount we are asking will all go to the film, from equipment rental, getting actors and crew members, as well as getting our film into as many festivals as possible.

All contributions go a long way into getting this project from paper to the big screen. For your contribution, you will get various rewards from postcards to copies of the film once its completed. 

The Impact

• This film will be our first film for our production company, hopefully leading to future projects.
• We want to highlight diverse actors, crew members, and stories in horror. 
• This film will spotlight our local community of Houston, Texas, as well as allow for opportunities for underrepresented communities.
• Our cast and crew will feature people of diverse backgrounds.
