The Story
Missing Star tells the story of nine-year-old Joshua and his mother Penelope. Penelope, a single parent works and rents a house on a farm, however she faces the dilemma of losing both due to the landlord putting the land up for sale to a Fracking Company. Coinciding with this, Joshua has reached an age where he begins to question the lack of father in his family and wonders about his whereabouts.

Penelope doing everything in her power to protect Joshua from the harsh realities of life and their situation uses his fascination with astronomy and science fiction to conjure up an exciting tale that must be kept secret from others. However Penelope's best-intended deception leads to Earth shattering consequences fuelled by Joshua's imagination and desire to learn about his father.

Introducing Joseph Taylor. The little star of our film.
Joseph is developing into a fine little actor. He has recently been attending the Springhead Drama Group in Oldham, Since becoming an actor he has had several small parts in plays and a few television appearances.
What we need.
We have forty days to reach a funding goal of £15.000 to make Missing Star.
The money raised will pay for Cameras, Lights, Sets builds, location hire, Costume, Special effects, Makeup, Prosthetics, Sound Design, Editing, Sound Mixing, Colour Correction, Music Composing, Festival Submissions and Marketing and of course Props.
So far the project has been completely self funded with the aid of industry professionals working on an expenses only principle. It has been this goodwill that has thus far enabled us to produce the short trailer above. However to make the film we will need more than good will, we will need funding.

Our Aim.
Our Aim is to make a great heart felt, compelling family film. The project itself is by its nature ambitious, taking place on numerous locations and involving a number of special and visual effects.
Our highly skilled team is setting out to achieve a motion picture like quality on a small budget. From our trailer we have demonstrated this is achievable. We are more than confident that with funding in place, we can continue to make the film in the manner and look of a big budgeted film.
Once the film is completed we hope to distribute it on the international film festival circuit.
