Features at a Glance

Writing just feels good. With an extraordinary screen refresh rate, writing is virtually instant, and as responsive as true pen to paper. The stylus drags across the screen, giving a satisfying and soft, paper-like feedback.                                                                                                                                     

Your pen stroke grows as you press more firmly on the screen. Write in pencil, ink pen, or marker styles that are pressure-sensitive to 4096 degrees of sensitivity. This degree of variety and tactile control is certain to please even the most demanding artists and note-takers.

Palm rejection ensures that your writing is uninterrupted. The Screen is both capacitative for touch-control of menus, and uses a WACOM screen (with 4096 degrees of pressure sensitivity) for precise stylus control. The two screens work together to reject your palm while writing so that you make no accidental controls while writing.  

Flip your "pencil" and use your "eraser" for any mistakes! An active, and yet battery-free stylus head allows for instant interactive and responsive erasing of text. The software tracks your writing, stroke by stroke, and "erases" them on contact with the top of the stylus.

A built in frontlight and external front light button allows usage in the dark with a simple press! Take notes in even the darkest of meeting rooms and conferences, using the adjustable brightness to prevent an obnoxious glow! The frontlight is evenly distributed, providing an even glow with no dark spots.

The Reader App

The Integrated E-Reader App (HomeReader3) supports .mobi (amazon's default format), .epub (the most common e-Book format), .pdf, .txt, azw3, .azw, .fb2, .prc and more!

.cbz and .cbr formats (for comics) are compatible after installing the "FBreader comic book plug in" from apkpure.com. Also the .djvu format can be read using djvu reader app on apkpure.com

Please inquire if you have a more esoteric format you would like us to verify! The Android OS also allows for you to install other common e-reader apps such as the Kindle app, Kobo reader, moon reader, scribd reader, and more, so if you have a collection saved on their cloud you can access it after installing their app. 

(Not all android apps can be installed and may not all work as originally intended but reader apps have been the most consistently compatible due to the consistent hardware expectations!)

All markings are kept if you close the note to work on another project. Just like a real notebook, your changes will still be there when you go back to your note; except you can also make a copy instantly to share with colleagues!

The current case accessory (other designs pending) consists of thin and firm shock absorbent covers which protect the device with no additional bulk. The cover is outwardly wrapped in a textured and rugged fabric that protects and contributes to overall aesthetic. The inside part of the cover is a soft and comfortable felt that also houses the built-in stylus holder, safely tucked within the case.

The operating system is a branch off of the most stable android build and should continually expect further software development as we develop our product line. We develop independently of google, so their updates should never brick your device. 

This consistent build of android is critical to minimizing complications for open development environment, as it allows for development to occur without constantly keeping pace with Google's development of android.  

The MobiScribe runs android, and is compatible with many popular android apps, which may be installed via the file explorer. .apk's may be obtained from websites such as apkpure.com via the onboard web browser or uploaded from the PC.
