Hello friends and family!

Damian, Erica, Cameron, and Ben here! We are all gearing up to step into the next phases of our careers. We’ve been shooting with each other for years- honing our individual skill sets and it’s time for us to make something visually stunning with the true intent of grabbing some attention in film festivals. We’re needing a bit of financial help to make that happen! 

We’re looking to raise $5,500 to help cover the cost for our makeup artists, crew, wardrobe and equipment. 

A bit about the project:

Monsters is a philosophical glimpse into the human mind. It’s a short film that will bring to life horrors as we fear them on our periphery, in our dreams and in our mirrors. During our story a man will explore fear itself, in search of the truth it hides from the world. A truth that, once found, cannot be unfound. No matter how much worse it is.

The main players: 

Damian C. King- our director, and writer of this short film. He has just recently wrapped as a producer on the feature film “The Wedding Pact” and wrote a feature film that is currently being pitched to studios. While most of his previous projects focused on comedy, he hopes “Monsters” will showcase his ability to tell a more serious, dark side of the human experience. Ben Thatcher is our cinematographer. He started off his career in commercials but is quickly making his mark in the world of narrative films. Cameron Rankin will be another one of our monsters and will also be helping produce the piece. With this, he hopes to push his name through more film festivals. Erica Hau will be portraying one of our iconic monsters that appears to our lead character. She will also be the wardrobe designer for the monsters! She designed the wardrobe for the post apocalyptic short film “Water”, the main creatures in “I’m Busy” and “Scarodies” and she also recently wrapped as a wardrobe assistant on the feature film “The Baby Pact”.
