He's starting to get sort of famous after being in this little movie called "Cherry", it was directed by the guys who made some movie called "The Avengers". It's about superheroes or something. What is Movers Ultimate?

Movers Ultimate is the story of two best friends who must get off work in time to make it to their 10-year high school reunion and reconnect with the girls that got away. Get ready to laugh your asses off.

What's it going to be like?

Prior to filming, the cast and crew were given a list of movies to watch for inspiration. Among those movies, heavy emphasis was placed on Superbad, Sex Drive, Waiting and Booksmart. These movies are hilarious, crude and down to earth. 

WHY INDIEGOGO? 

We need help. Indiegogo gives us the opportunity to reach out to the people directly who (whom?) we're making the movie for. There's a lot that goes into making a movie after you've finished shooting and if you can help us finish it up, we want to make it worth your while.

Finishing Touches

We're 90% finished! The making of any movie contains but isn't limited to its writing, casting, scheduling, production design, prop construction, location scouting, filming, editing, distribution and much, much more. We've got just about all of this done. But like every movie, the scenes, although edited together, need proper color grading, sound editing and music to finalize them. The trailer seen above doesn't include any of this fine tuning, so if you enjoyed what you saw, it's only going to get more ultimate.

Movers Ultimate is expected to release Summer 2022

But we're not making you wait that long! We'll be taking the movie on a proper marketing tour for the duration of 2021 and the majority of 2022 in order to garner a proper wide release. In the mean time, we're offering backers who make a donation to this campaign a sneak peak of the movie THIS LABOR DAY WEEKEND (a couple months from now)! 

Following this sneak peak, we'll be locking Movers Ultimate back up, never to be seen again outside of festivals and the living rooms of those related to us by blood. Distribution deals take time, sometimes years to finalize. But if you're willing to support us, you deserve to see it early and we're eager to share it with you. Cheers!

MEET THE CAST AND CREW

Shawn Knox graduated from Kent State University and attended the Houde School of Acting in Cleveland shortly after. There he studied the Meisner technique, on camera, and improvisation. He also teaches the technique under Jessica Morris, the schools founder/owner. Shawn has worked across multiple Film, TV, and Commercial projects the past few years. His most recent credit being “Cherry” opposite Tom Holland, directed by the Russo Brothers. 

Born and raised in Oakland, CA. Andy J. Carlson was a varsity athlete at Bishop O’Dowd High School who spent his time on a baseball field instead of a stage. Although he enjoyed his tech job after college, he always considered the pursuit of an acting career. After a little push from his hometown friends, that dream became a reality in the Fall of 2017 when he submitted for his first audition.

Acting in films is a main highlight for Annalese’s many interests.

Her career includes being a university photojournalist for many years, a current local news anchor, a massage therapist, and in the last ten years, she has stepped into film and commercial work.

With multiple thrillers and horror films, dramas and comedies, she keeps a sense of playfulness portraying a wide range of characters from soccer moms, to homeless grifters.  ..And just for fun, modeling for the occasional adult underwear ads keeps her sense of humor.

Sé Marie is based out of Los Angeles, earning an acting degree in 2011. She began her career as a stunt double for Rachel McAdams and Vinessa Shaw, before transitioning fully into a career in acting.

Sé has led several feature films to major film festivals, including “Career Opportunities in Organized Crime” (South by Southwest Film Festival 2016) and “Careful Not to Cry” (Toronto International Film Festival 2017). In 2019, she co-starred in a national Nissan commercial campaign alongside actress Joey King.

Sé recently won an award for Best Ensemble Cast for the feature film “Force to Fear” at GenreBlast Film Festival 2020, and was also the winner of the Glorioso Casting One Minute Monologue Challenge, which accepted submissions from around the world.

Sé Marie can be seen in the upcoming feature film “Unsinkable” about the aftermath of the Titanic, pending an upcoming theater release date, and is currently in post-production for the comedy feature film “Movers Ultimate”, which has a wide release set for Summer 2022. She also led the sci-fi short film “Artificial Existence” to many major festivals this year (still currently making its festival run), and produced/directed/starred in an original web series titled “A Very Covid Christmas”, which premiered on YouTube and has been highly reviewed by the press.

Taking advantage of the pandemic year 2020, Sé starred in an international live Zoom play titled “Water Child”, which featured an international cast and was globally hailed for the production’s creativity and talent.

Sé Marie is also currently in post-production for a highly anticipated pilot television project, which she stars in and produces. Further details cannot be disclosed at this time.

Grant Thomas Brooks was born on June 21st, 2001 in Columbus, Ohio. Working for PCG talent in Columbus, Grant is an American stage and film actor, best known for his role as Josh in the horror movie "Don't Run" and as Miles in the reboot of the horror franchise "Wrong Turn".  Grant has been involved with 2 student films associated with the Delaware Area Career Center which have won Emmys in the Ohio Valley Chapter. Along with stage and film acting, Grant spends some of his free time as a World War II reenactor and amateur military historian.  Grant is the youngest in his family, having three older sisters.

Jeremy Farley is a Stage and Screen Actor, Born and raised in LA but now is making his way to New York CIty within 2021.

At a very young age Jeremy started performing in his parents company Mimeistry Int. Todd and Marilyn Farley created Mimeistry Int, after they were trained as professional Mimes by Marceal Marceau in Paris France. With a strong base in Mime, physical storytelling and comedy, Jeremy moved on to Acting. 

In 2019 Jeremy gained a BFA in Acting from Wright State University. Jeremy has performed in everything from Shakespeare to Musicals, Contemporary plays to Long Form Improv, and even some Puppetry and Comedia Larte.

Having studied and performed Commedia Del Arte in Italy, with the Italian master Fabio Mangolini. Although relatively new to film, Jeremy is blasting his way through the industry and is thrilled to be a part of the Movers Ultimate Team!

Grant Kennedy Lewis is an actor based in Chicago, IL with experience in Theatre, Television, and Film. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2018 and has been working professionally in the Midwest ever since. Recently, Grant has appeared in a Season 5 episode of Chicago Med and will be seen in an upcoming episode of How to L0ve, a webseries about tennis ball people. He is very excited to share Movers Ultimate with the greater moving community! 

Steven Strafford is an actor and playwright born in NYC and based in Chicago. On stage, he's been seen around the country and around the world in comedies, musicals, and performances of his one-man show, Methtacular!  He has been on TV, in movies, and in a national commercial in the harrowing role of "real person." 

Chaney Morrow is a film and stage actor known for Haunt (2019), Wrong Turn (2021) and Dark Waters (2019). He is a native of Dayton, OH. 

I'm not going to talk about myself in third person because I'm the one making this page and that feels weird. But the interesting points of my life can be boiled down to this: I had braces three times. After that I freaked my parents out when I was 15 and told them I wanted to make a living as a filmmaker. I got into Ohio University's Scripps School of Communications where I crushed cheap beer and occasionally class. Moved to L.A. Worked freelance on some big commercials and TV shows. When freelance wasn't there, I installed trees for rich people to pay bills and keep the lights on (this gig was crazy, I ruined Courteney Cox's floor one day. On another, I had a panic attack in front of Charlize Theron when I was trying to show off my muscles and a spider crawled on me. I once sold a tree to a homeless lady from Jupiter, or so she claimed. Haven't fact-checked). The job resulted in a back injury. Went broke. Moved home to live in my parents' basement (awesome ice breaker for meeting ladies. Not). Saved money. Became a firefighter while making a movie over the course of 3 years. Got the movie noticed. Almost finished another movie. And here we are. It's wonderful to meet you.

Which is cool, kind of. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, we're about to be one of them. But as a filmmaker, how do you stand out? How is anyone going to see our movie out of the 14,356 other streaming titles?! Is that a movie with Chris Pratt, George Clooney AND Marilyn Monroe? WTF, how do we compete with that?!?! HOW IS ANYONE GOING TO GIVE A SH!T ABOUT OUR MOVIE MADE BY A BUNCH OF OUTSIDERS?!?!?!   

When you're an indie filmmaker, there's only one thing you can do to survive. You make the movie so damn sweet that people can't help but talk about it. And that all starts with you. 

Why Movers is Ultimate

So what's this mean? This great, ultimate, bromantic extravaganza? It is all of that. It's also hilarious (unless you're easily offended, in which case you might want to skip this one). But also, it's the product of hard work and what happens when determination meets opportunity. It's a movie made by a bunch of outsiders you've never heard of and yet somehow, we've managed to find our way to you. We've clawed for every inch to get here. Me, personally? I look back to when I had a freakin' dollar to my name. And now on behalf of my badass team, I'm here, getting to talk to you. This movie's a testament to following your dreams. And not quitting, even if you're moving furniture and living in your parents' basement to get there.
