Hey GUYS! THANKS TO PRIVATE DONATIONS, We've made it to $12, 016!!!!! We've got a movie!!!!!
Guaranteed to rejuvenate, restore and maintain happiness. (And help save the honeybees!)
Mr. Hopewell has finally given up. His life's work has come to nothing and the moment of his deepest despair is where our story begins.
Shy and baleful Darla June Koons dreams of big changes in her life -- starting with her last name.
Sheriff Leon is not a bad man. He simply suffers from perennial sniffles that exacerbate his irritataion with the carelessness and eccenticity surrounding him.
When Mr. Hopewell goes to dump out his life's work (a potion for happiness) at the recycling center, he fails to separate his glass from his cardboard. For this egregious crime, he winds up in Sheriff Leon's jail, which is where we meet Darla June, intent on her awkward attempts at beautification. Thus Earnest J. Hopewell's great faux pas sets off a series of events that will change the lives of all three characters profoundly, almost overnight.

Our goal: To rejuvenate, restore and maintain happiness by making the best film we can make on the smallest budget, spreading joy, and helping out the honeybees.
If, for some inexplicable reason, we are unable to meet our target budget, we will make the best film we can make on an even smaller budget. Even if this story ends up being enacted by sock puppets against shoebox sets by Sasha, this film will be made. How well it's made is in your hands.
All funds that exceed our expenses will be donated to The Honeybee Conservancy. http://thehoneybeeconservancy.org/about-us/
