About
This short film is a unique tale of young, imaginative Maisy. Misunderstood by those around her, she prefers to be alone in the vast fields beside her house. When she discovers a wild forest ceased by a otherworldly monster, she embarks into danger to protect her kingdom. She has to... it's her duty as queen.
Writer/Director Freya Lawrence wrote Mr.Wolf based on a event which happened to her when she was Maisy's age. Winning the pitching competition with this script at FILM EXPO SOUTH in February 2017, Freya is now embarking into the production to bring an important message to screen.
What we need
We have launched this campaign because we need financial support. For Mr.Wolf to be created to its fullest potential here is a breakdown of our budget. For every backer, it's important to know where your support is going....

-
Kit Hire: To create the unique look for Mr.Wolf we need to hire an extensive amount of kit such as anamorphic lenses and even a smoke machine to create the right atmosphere.
-
Travel: Getting our cast and crew from location to location!
-
Catering: With all of our locations outside during the hot summer, its vital for us to be looking after our cast and crew with lots of water and food!
-
Actor Expenses: Ensuring our cast get to the middle of nowhere locations!
-
On set facilities: The boring stuff! Filming outside we need facilities such as protection from the sun, a production office to keep the shoot on schedule and of course basic human needs...
-
Props and Costume: Costume hire and prop making.
-
Location Hire: Hiring for access and use of private farmland.
-
Crew Expenses: Paying for our crew to get to location and getting them home!
The Impact
This story highlights the importance of the youth today. Being suppressed by the grown ups around her, Maisy doesn't know her true potential. We all have been a child once or have children, or even grandchildren! This means we all can relate to the message of this film, and we strongly believe that this is the time for this story to be told.
The power of a child's imagination is limitless and Mr.Wolf embraces its authenticity through an environmental message. That's right, there's a twist to this film...

Risks & Challenges
Mr.Wolf has as talented and committed crew behind it and we are lucky to have Shoreditch Pictures and H20 Films coming together to provide the best support.
The biggest challenge this production faces is shooting the film all exterior. We are ready to fight against the elements and a portion of our budget is to ensure safety in rain or sun!
