Hey there friends! 

It is about time that I officially announce a great adventure that I am about to embark on. This winter, I will be joining a team of ten others in an attempt to summit Mount Aconcagua (22,841 feet) in Mendoza, Argentina—the tallest mountain in South America, the tallest mountain outside of the Himalayas, and one of the seven famed summits of the world. 

I have been a part of a class this semester where we learn how to plan, lead, and take part in an expedition such as this and I could not be more excited! We are leaving midnight on December 25 (Christmas!) and we will return January 17th. We plan to spend more than two weeks on the mountain attempting to make it to the summit! 

While this is not an official CCU mission trip, our goal is to always be missional in everything that we do. We will be joined by over 4000 other hopeful climbers and porters attempting to reach the summit this season. We have spent considerable time in prayer for the safety of our team, the other climbers, and opportunities for impactful conversations.

I share this with you all in hopes for support, primarily in prayer. Preparation for this trip has been stressful as I ready myself physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. The cost of the trip has added up fast with lodging, food, transportation, flights, and most importantly, gear. My primary request is for prayer, but I am also in need of financial support.
