Join us for a night of masquerade fun!
For a couple years, I have had the desire to throw a New Year's Eve masquerade where people could dress in costume and have fun with others while ringing in the New Year. This year, 2013, I decided it was time to stop thinking about throwing a masquerade and actually *do* it. But it requires money to do just that, and to make it as phenomenal as possible.
The goal is to make this an annual event that everyone can look forward to and that can expand for more to enjoy.
The first thing that was most important was getting a hotel secured for the event, and to find a DJ. Mission accomplished on both counts!
The masquerade will be hosted at the Lancaster Host Resort & Conference Center in Lancaster, PA.
What We Need & What You Get
In order to help offset the costs, there will be a $20 cover charge, but I am also giving the option for people to donate more if they wish to help out with other costs, including decorations and the DJ:
- If you are paying for more than one person as you donate, choose the higher "perk" and make a private comment saying that you are paying for the cover charge for more than one person- please include your name and their name(s) so that I can make a note in my spreadsheet.
- All funding raised goes directly into the event by paying for:
- Catering at the hotel
- The DJ services of C.F. Star Entertainment
- Decor
- An additional tip for the bartender since it is a cash bar
- A $15 supporting donation has been added. This is for people that may want to attend this year but can not, but still want to help. They will receive the following:
- An engraved champagne flute
- Special recognition at the masquerade
- $20 cover charge covers your cost to attend. This includes your buffet dinner, entertainment for the evening, and a champagne toast at midnight.
- Any donations of $25-30, you will receive the following in addition to the buffet, entertainment for the evening, and a champagne toast at midnight:
- Special recognition at the masquerade
The Future
I hope that this is just the first year of this event. When I intially decided to go for it while planning, it has always been with the intent of creating a fun and inspiring event that could lead to an annual event people look forward to that just keeps growing each year- both in attendance, costumes, and the level of creativity.
