Nephilim Squadron Chapter 1, is a 32 page, black and white comic book. This special collector's edition is a preview of Volume 1, which will be chapters 1-3 collected as a Full Color graphic novel (Launching in 2021). Every backer of Chapter 1 receives a pin-up.
Taking inspiration from Heavy Metal Magazine, and 80's Anime/Manga like Macross and Area 88, Nephilim Squadron is an action-packed, epic hard science fantasy series. The story focuses on a clone pilot who desires a soul. But through the course of the journey, he discovers that his destiny is larger than just having a soul. And under the surface, Nephilim Squadron is an ancient mythological tale that takes place 700 years in the future! What?!

THE STORY
Our core protagonists, Taru, Mecca, Jason and Frank, are fighter pilots of the Nephilim Squadron for the organization known as Sol Interstellar Forces (SIF). While under the obligation to protect colonies from various threats, SIF becomes involved in a quagmire of a war on the planet Tamerin-12.

The Tamerin dictator, Seton Kokar, aims to defeat the native beings, known as El Savaali, on his own brutal terms. The result is a clash of ideologies between a totalitarian government that wants it's sovereignty, and and Sol Interstellar Forces' compulsion to exert its own ethics on former colonies.
We follow our heroes through their triumphs and tribulations, and downfalls and ascension, as they battle the El Savaali while playing vital roles in stopping the madness of Seton Kokar's socio-bio-experiments.

What's It Gonna Cost Me As A Backer? What Do I Get Out Of This?
The BASE PERK for this campaign is a 6-Pack of collectible Trading Cards and 2 Bookmarks for CHEAP! Prints and More Bookmarks of the characters are added at each subsequent tier.
As this is my first campaign, I am keeping the perks relatively limited. And to boost your trust and confidence in me to follow through on this project, I will be regularly streaming to demonstrate the production of the cards/prints and bookmarks. My desire is to be as transparent as possible, and to shed my aversion to public speaking. The estimated projection for printing is at the end of May. Additionally, every backer will have Beta Access to the game when it's ready.

You may have noticed that the primary perks are typically promoted as add-ons in other campaigns. Well, aside from offering 9 poster prints, 6 trading cards, and 9 bookmarks in an affordable package, the fact is that the artwork on said items are of the highest quality (if I may humbly say) and may offer some resale value.

It's always been my ultimate goal to self publish my comic book ideas. With the advent of crowdfunding (especially through IndieGoGo!), I'd like to take this opportunity to offer a bit of cross intellectual property synergy with the game I'm creating, and the magnum opus (drink!) that is Nephilim Squadron.
Ok, but there's that trust issue.

I'm currently on track to plow through the production of the campaign perks. Since launch, I have the poster backgrounds halfway done, and 10 pages of Nephilim Squadron inked without embellishment.

Here's the quick production rundown:
Character paintings and card design are set up for refinement, and the new drawings for the bookmarks will be the last to be done. For Nephilim Squadron, I have 16 more pages to pencil, ink and embellish. Barring any disaster, natural or otherwise, I am determined to fulfill on this commitment by giving ample time for me to deliver by SUMMER of 2021. And since the perks are not as complex as producing a comic with plentiful color pages, the risk for us is low.
