Over the past 18 Christmases many of you have asked us to record, so we're finally going to do it! Over the Fall of 2017, we plan to work with Mirror Studios in Anchorage to record several original songs with professional musicians backing us up. The cost? $12,500--a significant sum! But there are lots of you, and we trust with your help, we'll reach our goal. We'll compensate your contributions with CDs, MP3 downloads, pdfs of our sheet music and other enticements. Please help!
Short Summary
Over the years, many of you have attended our annual Christmas concerts in Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Alaska. You have consistently indicated that Wade's songs are some of your Christmas favorites. But these songs and their messages are localized to communities where we have sung. We would like to share our music, both the sheet music and recordings, more broadly. We believe others will receive these songs as warmly as you have. But more importantly, everyone who wants to sing them will finally be able to do so. Heaven knows the world needs fresh Christmas music. You can help us make that happen.
- Wade and Treesje have collaborated on original music for many years. In this partnership, Treesje edits, transcribes, sings and accompanies. Wade composes and sings.
- We will be recording and preparing sheet music for eight of Wade's original works an two arrangements and will make these available for others to purchase and perform.
- What will you help us achieve?
- A professionally recorded and mixed album of the following songs: New Fallen Snow, The Little Things, Born!, Follow His Star, Winter Blues (Snowman), No Silent Night, Silent Night/Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing (arrangement), Santa Claus Feeling, First Christmas Tree, In the Bleak Mid-Winter (arrangement);
- Downloadable sheet music for all ten songs;
- CD production, including cover art and lyric sheets for all songs produced;
- Karioke tracks for sing-along or performance;
- Wade's music will be available for others to sing for the first time ever.
What We Need & What You Get
Total cost of the project will be $12,500,00 broken down as follows:
- Studio and recording costs: @ $3,000.00;
- Mixing costs: @ $2,000.00;
- Instrumentalists: (percussion, guitar, bass) $3,000.00; (additional featured soloists) $1,500.00;
- CD production costs (for 600 pieces): $1,200.00+
- Indiegogo and credit card fees: $1,000.00
- Incidentals and cost overruns: $800.00

Any excess funds will go toward production of a second album: Christmas is Family in 2018 or 2019.
The Impact
Christmas oldies get older and older with every passing year. You will help us change that. Wade's original Christmas songs are fresh and new:
- This album features eight original Christmas songs;
- One traditional Christmas song, "In the Bleak Mid-Winter," arranged by Wade;
- A new rendition of "Silent Night" which blends the lyrics of the beloved "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing";
- All ten songs will be available as sheet music to the general public.
Risks & Challenges
While we hope to have the music ready by Christmas, we are cutting it very close. We have already begun preliminary work, but we cannot guarantee an album by Christmas. Music downloads will be available sooner than the actual CDs, so we encourage you to use that option if possible.
