Brief Intro
Next.Land is a project that I started developing in my free time. At the beginning, it was only a small experiment to demonstrate amazing new possibilities of modern web browsers, especially WebGL technology. Over time, it has turned a into simple game designed for casual players. A beautiful demo is already available for preview. Gameplay, balance, tempo and all the things that make a game great are already mapped out but not yet obvious in the demo.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please note that this demo has a very limited gameplay. It is more like an early alpha preview of the game. It uses dummy data and many features are not available yet.
The main purpose of this campaign is to promote my game. I want to attract a wide audience of players. I’m looking for inspiration and feedback from people who know and love strategic games. Backers will receive perks but the game will never be pay to win. I am very grateful for your support.

The Rewards
For your support, you can choose between silver and gold premium account as a crowdfunding campaign reward. These premium game accounts contain various ingame upgrades and bonuses. To keep it really simple, only these two types have been set. Please, take into account that the exact specification of upgrades and bonuses will be adjusted to keep the game balanced with a growing player base.

The Funds
All funds raised by the crowdfunding campaign will be used primary for computer and network infrastructure. With a solid server performance the game will be able to run without issues. Insufficient server performance could disappoint many players and ruin the gameplay completely. Below you can see some basic distribution of your money raised in the campaign.

Developing a game is a costly business. I have already invested a lot of resources into this project and I will keep doing this, but your help is very welcome. All I can do is to provide you as much information as possible so you are able to decide on your support.

I am the creator and the only developer right now. Next.Land is my personal project that I started developing in my free time. I can not compete with top video game makers and bring you the ultimate gameplay, graphics or whatever. I just want to bring you a simple game that is fun to play. I hope that this game will become popular and I will be able to expand the team and bring you an even better gaming experience.

Risks & Challenges
Game development is a difficult task. Because of various unforeseen events, it is common for game production to be delayed. I am doing everything I can to avoid extended deadlines or delayed development, but there is always a risk that this could happen. To keep you updated, I post regular articles about the progress on my DEV blog.
Another big problem is an unknown player base at this moment. It is a big difference to provide computer infrastructure for one hundred players and for one hundred thousand players. No one wants to play a game that is laggy and slow. Running crowdfunding campaigns is a great way to get at least a basic prediction for this.
With your help, I can deal with various obstacles that are in the way, and make sure you will be able to enjoy Next.Land soon.
