We have now teamed up with executive producer Michael Cowan of IRON SKY, to create the ultimate horror present next year! And we are asking for your help to come along with us for our first ever crowd-funding campaign. After a successful year at Frightfest 2016 (The UK's biggest genre festival!) with our second feature film, we have been inspired to be more bold and daring. We have gathered together some of the best actors from our previous productions, along with some amazing new talent from around the UK, this is our passion project and we want to make it without studio interference! We aim to create something ground-breaking, exciting, fun and be at even more festivals next year. Maybe you could be part of an award-winning film with us this time next year!

Our first feature film Curse of the Witching Tree was a Top 75 UK DVD and we have received over 300,000 views on the Horror Trailer Channel alone! The film also received international release in America with over 30,000 units sold to Redbox alone.
At Number 14 of the US iTunes Horror Chart!
Could your name be on the back of DVD's around the UK and USA this time next Christmas? We've already been in Walmart and Target in the USA, and have been number 11 in Sainsburys' UK Chart, along with selling out in Asda and trending in HMV!
WHY DO WE WANT A HORROR CHRISTMAS?
For a very long time Last British Dragon has wanted to make a true black comedy horror. Writer and Director James Crow is also a fan of classic horror anthologies. But this is not just a collection of short films, each one is connected and part of the same disturbingly grisly world.

"All my life I have loved horror. But I also have a special place in my heart for quirky, different types of horror movies, and I think there's something weirdly magical about Christmas horrors. Growing up, I was obsessed with the film Gremlins and that wacky vision of the festive period. I just loved the fun of it. I think Christmas horrors tap into a uniquely naughty side of us. Everything's so cheesy, lovely and happy. I think many of us have little gremlins inside who actually enjoy a little bit of anarchy. It's because it's such a juxtaposition. That's what I think makes it work. I also love films like Edward Scissorhands, Scrooged, The Nightmare Before Christmas and even of course the ultimate Christmas film... Die Hard! Yes, The Sound of Music is great every Christmas, but come on... it could do with a few added machine guns.
Not only that, but I love those old eighties horror anthologies and the fun of them. It's like getting three movies for the price of one! And one of my biggest loves will always be Tales of the Crypt. And I think that's what we're going for: a Tales of the Crypt Pulp Fiction. Tales of the Crypt brought to life that comic book fun. You don't see that anymore. No one's making it. And I just thought screw it... I'd ask my friends and just said let's make this. One distributor said to me 'horror comedy won't sell no matter how good it is and anthologies don't work. No one wants it". I don't think that's true. Although I'm a little bit odd sometimes, I'm not completely from a different dimension. I couldn't be the only one who thought a horror comedy Christmas anthology wouldn't be something worth buying. The reaction I had from people was overwhelming and I decided to listen to my heart and do this project and try to prove people wrong. There's still a place for comedy horror and you can be part of it.
Me and Charlotte Tingley had a great time filming A Suburban Fairytale which we produced together. It's a film out next year that will be very dark. We thought we'd just like to do something mental and fun. We started talking about this idea I have had for many years and we just got the courage up together to say... let's do this and make it happen!"
- James Crow
Hear James Crow talk about his love of film-making at Frightfest 2016:
Check out the trailer for House of Salem to be released early next year! If the pre-orders for Nightmare on 34th Street go well, we are considering a special extended Blu-ray with special features of House of Salem in a separate campaign in January before the release!
What are the stories of Nightmare on 34th Street?
The main story is of a psycho Santa narrating to a very ill child on Christmas Eve, which all comes together for a disturbing twist at the end. Think Columbo narrating to the boy in Princess Bride, but with a Santa-gone-wrong and a series of Tale of the Crypt style stories. The first story is about a broken family on an estate with a Krampus spin. The second is the Christmas answer to Halloween in the slasher-vein of Scream, Nick being our answer to Michael Myers. The final and third is a home invasion film with killer carol singers and echoes You're Next and The Purge. All the stories are very twisted in their own ways, but also maintain the same horror comic book style. Not only does it have three major stories, it also incorporates some bonus films within the film! Including for instance, "KILLER ELVES FROM OUTER SPACE". A made up film we see playing through the film on TV's and also in a cinema at one point.
WHO ARE THE AMAZING CAST?
![]()
The stunning cast that continues to grow includes actress and model Lucy Pinder, after Lucy and James worked together on his last film now in post "A Suburban Fairytale". Lucy was instantly attracted by the crazy and dark Krampus vision we have in mind. This will be Lucy Pinder like never seen before!
![]()
Lucy's on screen partner will be played by the incredible Marc Zammit who is at the moment making film waves in the film Pandorica.
![]()
The film will also see a return of popular stage star Lloyd Daniels who has been selling out shows around the country since coming fifth in the popular series X Factor. Lloyd is now turning his attention to becoming an amazing screen actor alongside his musical theatre success!
![]()
The epic horror opening with a Jack Frost like you have never seen before will be lead by incredible child star Adam Thomas Wright. Adam gave an amazing performance in the big Frightfest hit of 2016... The Windmill Massacre, and we are excited to have him on board for some of our most frightening and mental scenes yet!
The film also features daughter of British comedy treasure Vicki Michelle, better known of course as Yvette in Allo! Allo! Louise Michelle brings all the glamour and comedy talent passed down from her mother to Nightmare on 34th Street, but is also a rising beautiful and talented actress in her own right.
We also proud to be welcoming back many of the cast of Curse of the Witching Tree including Lawrence Weller.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?
Nightmare on 34th Street is a project we are creating out of passion and love FOR horror fans BY horror fans. We have an amazing cast and team who have come together over this script and idea. But we need extra support to help boost production values and assist in ensuring we can get the film out in time for next Christmas with award-winning editor David Malcolm. We also want to help raise the profile and have never done crowd funding before. We have many films we would like to bring to life, and we would like to realise this project with your help so we can make more.
What do we have?
![]()
We have an amazing RED camera to shoot in 4K and some beautiful locations. Although, we still need help for more locations, costumes, makeup and allowing people more time to bring this project to life in time for next Christmas. Hopefully with you feeling like you were a part of it, or even with your name on it!
SPONSORED BY VINCENT PRICE ALE!
![]()
Nightmare on 34th Street is being proudly sponsored by Vincent Price Ale, the UK's first officially licensed ale from Kent brewers Hopdaemon! The London premier next year will be sponsored by Vincent Price Ale and we hope you will come join us with the perks and see you there to toast a new horror cult classic in honour of the legend Vincint Price himself!
TRAILER TO DEBUT AT COMEDY FESTIVAL NEXT APRIL
![]()
Producers Michael Cowen and James Crow recently hosted the first year of the St. Leonard's Horror Film Festival and due to its success are now planning a comedy festival for April Fools Day, where the trailer for Nightmare on 34th Street will make it's debut in the independent cinema Kino-Teatr. The trailer will be shared exclusively first with backers of the film along with exclusive scenes throughout the year!
Supporting Young Talent
Last British Dragon has a long history of helping young talent to get a chance both in front of the camera and behind. We are happy to be teaming up again with Verity Rae Martin at the wonderful Pauline Quirke Academy to offer great chances for local talent. We will also be offering work placements for media students such as Mid Kent College. If our first crowd-funding goes well, Last British Dragon hopes to utilise it more, so we can open even more doors for young media and performing arts students around the UK.

What Will Happen If We Don't Reach Our Target?
As you can see from our previous films, Last British Dragon is resourceful and will find a way to make this film happen. We already have some sponsorship and investment in place and we are confident on securing a distribution deal. So rest assured any support you give will help us and is safe and secure. If we do not meet our target we will sadly not be able to guarantee all the cast and scenes promised, although we will do our best to do so. It will also have an effect on post production, and make the chances lower of getting the film to market for next Christmas. You WILL still receive the film, but the general public may not until a year later as we have to have the film ready at least 5 months before November! So your early pre-order may be a full year early than everyone else! This makes it even more important that you get in on the campaign before it ends. Thankfully though we have a great award-winning editor who is confident we will get the film ready for mass market to the public on limited funding, so this should not be the case. Every scene costs time and money to produce, not just for the individual actors, but everything around them including the makeup, costumes, locations, co-stars, crew and organisation. It also means more time to edit and finalise everything for perfection. We would love to support every actor attached and have the resources to include them, but without your help that may not be the case, so every contribution you make really does mean so much and makes all the difference. However, we pledge to offer a refund of any perk that is exclusively related to any actor individually. Obviously the more pledges or support for certain actors will mean a priority to them. Your contribution is vitally important and whatever you give -no matter how small- will make all the difference to this production. We won't let you down! So please come and help us include everyone and get this film in shops on time with your name on it next Christmas! Together we can do it!
