Short Summary

"Nights in Suburbia" is a short film about the limitless possibilities of friendship and love, centering on a young woman who finds comfort in a neighboring sleepwalker as she fights the battle of insomnia.

My name is Alex Lee Williams, and I am the director/co-writer/producer/and co-star of the short film. Created for the Digi60 Film Festival, it had the great fortune of winning the "Best Directing - Experienced Filmmaker" category, which came as a great shock but a great honor!

We are hoping to raise $1,500 for the film in order to submit it to festivals across the globe. The film's budget was $0, so we are not able to contribute funds to it's festival distribution. But so much time and heart went into this short by all that participated. It is entirely a passion project for us that we are incredibly proud of, and we want others to be able to see the film and support independent filmmaking, while receiving a few great perks along the way.

What We Need & What You Get

We don't want you to think that you won't know where money is going. Every dollar of this money will be going toward the film's distribution to film festivals. These prices include:
-Festival Entry Fees
-Electronic Press Kits
-Format Conversions
-Hard Copies of Film for Entry
The crew and actors who worked on the film all worked for free, and we do not wish to accept any money for this film. We only want to see it travel across the world so we can hopefully (with more luck) entertain numerous audiences. But you won't be giving something for nothing! We have loads of great perks which you can see in your Perks section that we will be customizing for each donor. And who knows, if we get famous one day, the perks may even be worth something!

The Impact

This is our first ever Indiegogo campaign. Simply because I have sunk so much of my own money into my own projects in the past and I have simply run out! But that does not mean I will ever stop, I just need some help :) As a production crew, this is our 5th short film together. We have had the incredible luck of these films taking us all the way from Toronto to New York City, and we do not want to stop there! If you would like to see any of the other shorts we have had the pleasure of working on, please visit vimeo.com/blindluckpictures.

Other Ways You Can Help

Any help is always appreciated! And trust us when we say "We understand if you can't give any money." There are other great ways to help!

Please use the Indiegogo share tools, or simply tell your friends, share the campaign link so that we can see how far our film can go!

And if in the end, you feel that this isn't something you'd like to be a part of,
I sincerely thank you for reading and watching. All the best in the world,

Alex Lee Williams
