NOIR: Behind the Veil with Thessa M'loe
NOIR: Behind the Veil with Andrew James Jones
( Horror/Thriller - Feature Motion Picture)
Los Angeles, 1949. When Private Investigator, Max Specter, is hired to find a missing screenwriter responsible for creating low-budget monster movies, he soon discovers the writer's enemies are winding up dead, killed in the same way described in the writer's scripts, which eventually leads our hero deep into the evil underworld of the occult where he discovers that monsters and demons really do exist.
Other popular movies with similar themes: THE EXORCIST, SEVEN, CHINATOWN, SIN CITY, CONSTANTINE, ANGEL HEART, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL.
Recently, we had the honor of Producing and Directing
the Award-Winning Documentary on the Legendary, Albert S. Ruddy,
The Oscar-Winning Producer of
THE GODFATHER and MILLION DOLLAR BABY.
A few years ago, we were fortunate enough to have one of our scripts made into a major motion picture, WAR, starring Jet Li and Jason Statham. Needless to say, we were elated to see our work come to life with two of our favorite action stars.
Jason Statham, Gregory J. Bradley, Jet Li, and L.A. Smith on the set of WAR.
However, since we didn't direct that project, we still wanted to express our own vision and have more creative control over our own material... and really the only way to do that... is to do it yourself.
And that was the driving force behind creating NOIR...
A story that we felt would best showcase and challenge our filmmaking talents.
We love genre films, but we're often disappointed that they don't strive to do more... Too often, they fall into familiar rhythms and obvious cliches.
Our goal is to create something extraordinary and unique, to think outside the box, to take risks and to impact our audience on an emotional level.
We've taken all of the knowledge we've acquired over the many years of working as screenwriters and filmmakers in the motion picture industry and channelled it into making not only an entertaining film, but creating an experience that will absolutely blow you away!
About 85% of Principle Photography on NOIR has already been completed and we are thrilled with the results so far. We have already managed to obtain an outstanding cast, sound-stages, lights, audio, cameras, post-production facilities, and a truly haunting and inspirational music score thanks to the world-renowned film composer, Marcello De Francisci.
However, maintaining such a strong momentum can be challenging and even though we've been able to do a lot by ourselves, we can't do it all on our own, so we're reaching out to all of you - our friends, peers and fellow artists - to help us complete the film in a timely manner.
