The QHP Experience:
We are Lisa and Andi of Quiet Home Paints. As mother and daughter, we share more than just a business, but also a passion for color, design and sustainability. Lisa, a designer with 20+ years of experience, created each color based on her knowledge of what works. The paint is truly non-toxic, odorless and safe - on top of which the quality and beauty exceeds expectations. We take the guess work out of picking paint by offering truly beautiful colors in ready-made palettes that are safe for you and your family.
We aim to change the way you buy paint from purchasing a product to purchasing an experience, but we need your help! Our goal moving forward is provide our customers with not only the best paint available, but all of our knowledge and expertise to ensure you are able to create your perfect space.
With every paint purchase, customers will gain access to an online resource of endless knowledge. Webinars, tutorials and design tips will be at your finger tips. This doesn't just mean paint, although we will share knowledge on every aspect of that. There will also be information on color theory, floor planning, accessorizing, and more.
As a contributor, you are vital to our success in educating the public on the importance of using a non-toxic paint like ours and changing the paint industry. With your help we will give customers access to our own expert designer, Lisa Teague, as well as other top designers, bloggers, and stylists around the country.
As a small, local company we need you to help get the word out there and create a truly unique paint experience.
What We Need & What You Get
Our goal is to raise $50,000. This money will be used to:
- Reach a broader audience and educate on the importance of using Quiet Home Paints (did you know that even paints labelled as no VOC can still contain up to 5 g/l of VOCs? Scary, right?)
- Develop a Customer Access Portal to house video tutorials from great designers around the country and bring design expertise to your door.
- Continually develop new palettes to stay current with new design trends.
Your donation will earn you not only our ever lasting love, but the knowledge that you are contributing to a better indoor air quality around the country. Oh and you get great gifts for your donation like samples of our awesome paint, virtual design consultations with Lisa, your name as one of our colors, etc.
If our fundraising goal isn't reached, the funds we do raise will be used to educate a larger audience on the importance of using Quiet Home Paints. We will not give up on our goal of providing every family in the US a healthy, beautiful paint.
The Impact
The EPA declared Indoor Air Quality the number one health issue in the US last year. Poor Indoor Air Quality can lead to numerous health problems ranging from asthma and other respiratory issues to cancer. VOCs (volatile organic compounds) are major contributor to poor indoor air quality. And paint is a big culprit when it comes to VOCs. You may think that as soon as the paint dries, the VOCs are gone, but this simply isn't true. VOCs can be emitted into the air for days after the paint dries. And what is worse, even the paint on the market labelled as LOW or NO VOC can STILL CONTAIN VOCs (not to mention other harmful toxins). The regulation allows for a paint to claim No VOC status as long as there are less than 5 grams per liter and this is before you add pigments. Pigments are where a lot of the VOCs live, so the paint you think is healthy really might not be.
With Quiet Home Paints, there are truly no VOCs. Not in the base or in the pigments so every color we offer is as safe as the next. Your contribution will help educate the country on this important issue. AND it will enable us to bring to you the very best product with the very best knowledge behind it.
Other Ways You Can Help
While all donations are extremely appreciated, we realize not everyone is able to contribute in a financial way. By simply sharing our campaign with you friends or even just talking to people about Quiet Home Paints you would be helping us in a big way.
