Noodle did not have the best start to his life.
He was rescued at four weeks old from the side of the road.
He was; emaciated, hairless, covered in ticks and fleas.
I nursed Noodle back to health; giving him good healthy food, immune boosters, medicated shampoos, coconut oil massages and lots of love.
I spent all my time with Noodle and grew to love him dearly. I never expected to fall in love with a dog, but that’s exactly what happened.
I couldn’t leave him behind.
My plan was to bring Noodle back to my home in Australia when I left Indonesia.
But, everything fell apart once we got to Singapore when I was told that Noodle cannot enter Australia as he has a blood parasite called Ehrlichia which can be transmitted via ticks.
Australia is the only country in the world that he cannot enter. I am absolutely devastated.
We treated Noodle with an antibiotic called Doxycycline and immune boosters multiple times in attempt to get rid of the blood parasite to meet Australian quarantine standards. We genuinely believed this was a good, realistic option and that it would work. It didn’t. Noodle’s levels never changed, never budged at all.
Noodle is currently in temporary foster care in Singapore after his quarantine period finished. There was an option for Noodle to be rehomed in Singapore. I was told however, that this was unlikely.
There have been many, many tears, vet visits, blood tests, rounds of medication, tantrums on my half and just wanting to give up. But, Noodle is a stubborn boy – just like his Mama and I will not give up on getting this doggo the incredible home he so deserves, even if it is not with me.
The option then arose for Noodle to go a home in America with a lovely couple who have already adopted a rescue dog. Ula and Dan live in New York and want Noodle!
It is beyond my belief that I found someone who will adopt him. MY NOODLE IS GOING TO AMERICA!!
I always said that I will do anything for this damn dog, I love him more than I have ever loved anything.
So here we are, asking for help. I have exhausted all financial avenues trying to get the love of my life to safety in a loving home.
It has cost thousands to get to this point. I have all the receipts and will provide them if requested. I just need a little assistance to get him this last part of the way on what has been a very long journey.
Whatever you can give, to assist us with Noodle and his new life in the USA, all 4 of us, will be ever so appreciative and I will probably cry. It will cost upwards of an additional $3000 to get Noodle from Singapore to New York.
I just need a little help to get him this last little bit of the way. We are so close.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Noodle, Ula, Dan and Rose.
