Intro:
Hello! We're students at Ithaca College and this semester we're making our senior thesis film. This film is a dark comedy that's full of revenge and girl power (think Heathers or Assassination Nation).
Synopsis:
#NotAllMen is a film that exists in a world where men's actions have consequences. When all the men who do wrong start to disappear, only one girl takes notice. As the world becomes more and more filled with only women, is this girl doing anything to stop it or is she, in fact, causing it to happen? This spooky film is a timely piece following the #MeToo movement that allows us to tell a story about what the world could look like if women's voices were heard.
Importance:
This project is very close to our hearts as a crew of (mostly) women about to graduate and hoping to enter the film industry. This film reflects the experiences many of us have had while at school and what we hope can change. These experiences are not just relatable to women in film, but women in all fields. We think it's important to show that people should be held accountable for their actions.
Crew:
Part of our lovely crew consists of:
Em Zarabet (Director): she is a senior at Ithaca College with a passion for stories that highlight the voices of women and share important themes and messages relating to social change. Her focus is on writing and directing.
Mira Moreau (Producer/Assistant Director): she is a junior Cinema & Photography major from Wayne, Maine. She’s passionate about supporting women filmmakers and is so excited about working on this feminist film.
Jasper LaBonte (Producer): he is a senior film major at Ithaca College. He is an aspiring producer from Brooklyn, New York and hopes to move there after college.
Jake Catalanotto (Director of Photography): he is a senior at Ithaca College and a cinematographer. He is interested in an interdisciplinary approach to meaningful visual storytelling.
Carly Hough (Set/Costume Designer): she is a junior at Ithaca College studying photography and film. She hopes to work in art direction after graduating and has a passion for the little details of making films.
Donations:
We are looking to you for help in making our film come to life! This money will help pay for costumes, props, food for the cast and crew, equipment, transportation, and more to help our film look as best as it possibly can. We would also love to be able to enter this film into festivals so as many people as possible can hear this message.
