Short Summary
My name is Greg Zschomler. I'm not a new author. I've published three middle-readers and a text book. [Look me up on Amazon.]
The Amish vs. The Zombies is a YA coming of age tale that publishers won't bite. "Too risky." But I know there is a readership. And I'll bet you're interested.
This cross-genre story combining classic Amish romance with the
gut-grabbing drama of zombie horror. The title may seem like a spoof, but the
speculative fiction tale of faith and forgiveness, romance and terror, a toxic
biohazard and a government cover-up is very real.
When seventeen
year-old Hannah Stroval’s rumspringa
rebellion takes her and some friends to New York City some of them are exposed
to a devastating biological change agent which they inadvertently bring back to
Lancaster County.
The story pits
pacifist against predator in this thrilling, heart-rending mash-up where enduring
faith and deep convictions are challenged. The work is graphic at times and deals
with contemporary teen issues, but also clearly presents the gospel. Recommended for ages sixteen and up.
If you'd like to curl up with this one then show me your support.
What We Need & What You Get
Since I'm self-publishing I can do most of the work, but I still need some help. So far I've farmed out the editing. The interior has been typeset and formatted.
The cover design has been mocked-up, but needs completed. (The cover shown is rough mock-up; the models are not my own, but that's the barn and text I'll use.)
And I need to shoot a short book trailer.
That's where you come in.
I need some funding to pay the models and photographers. And I need some pre-sales to get the first batch of books printed and send out some promo copies, too.
The Impact
This is actually a thought-provoking book. It's going to make people think. It will challenge people to consider their own convictions about life, death, faith, forgiveness and love.
Other Ways You Can Help
Even if you can't give would you help spread the word. Use the share tools, tell people about this crazy title, talk it up, maybe even pray for me.
