Nursing Students for Choice (NSFC) was thrilled to be present at the American College of Nurse Midwives 59th Annual Meeting in 2014, and plans to continue the momentum at this year's celebratory 60th Anniversary! Last year, students and midwives too numerous to count stopped by our booth simply to thank us for being there and for advocating integration of comprehensive reproductive health care and abortion training into midwifery education and practice. Our presence at the ACNM Meeting not only heightens awareness of abortion and reproductive health as integral parts of midwifery, but provides an evidence-based counter to the presence of anti-choice groups that continue to promote their beliefs and harmful myths at the meeting. Without NSFC, there is no clear opposition to the messages of this vocal and well-funded group at our meeting.

Each piece of work that we as a community do to bring full spectrum care, especially abortion, to the forefront of midwifery is valuable for students, practicing midwives, and the patients we serve. We ask you to support us in our fundraising efforts to be able to attend this year's meeting in Washington, D.C. Please donate toward our goal of $2,500 to host a booth at ACNM.

With NSFC as an exhibitor, we will serve as a point of contact and connection for meeting members to our work, to one another, within and alongside our movement. Being a gathering of thousands of nurse-midwives and several hundred nurse-midwifery students, we have the potential to make a lasting and significant impact on all of these providers, students and those they do and will serve. Thank you for your support!

There is no other consistent presence in the exhibit hall that offers participants an opportunity to connect with others who similarly uphold their patients' autonomy and respect their rights to determine their own reproductive health decisions. Let NSFC be that presence! Thank you for your support!
