7 pictures in 7 days. One week project, a creative photo
competition in Hemsedal, Norway.
The best photographers within ski and snowboard in the
northern scene get together to create an exhibition in 7 days. Every
photographer will bring a team of three awesome skiers or snowboarders. They
have 5 days to get the pictures they need, and on the 7th day
it’s time to print and get it up on the wall. The competition and party begins.
One week project has been a huge success two years in a row,
and we would love to continue this tradition. This is a nonprofit event hosted
by Mari Söderholm, Kalle Hägglund and Anki Grøthe. All three of us are creativethat live and work in Hallingdal. Our vision is
that OWP (one week project) exists to bring photography forward for the
photographer and the viewers.
And we are proud to say that this competition is not an
online voting event. The cool part is that you get out there, attend the event,
you have a good time with your friends and vote for your favorite picture.
----------
New this year is
that we will have a jury of 3 fine photo experts to judge which photographer will win the OWP 2016. They will carefully examine all their work. Their ruling
will be based on creativity, trick, composition, light, color, the story and of
course the finished layout on the wall.
So we have both the jury that crowns the winner, on all 7
pictures. And the audience (you) crowns the best picture. There are two prizes
this year!

What We Need & What You Get
The founding we need goes to three posts.
1. Prints
on kapa. This is the most expensive post. And until today the photographers
have paid their own prints. New this year is that we would have them mounted
on kapa plates. It will give the exhibition a long-lasting and nicer
finish.
2. Payment
to a jury. Behind all the fun and games. In the end there will be only one
winner. To pick one winner out of 10 awesome photographers is not easy. That is
why we want the best jury possible. A team of photo-experts and photo-editors
with a lot of experience.
3. Winner
takes it all. We would love to send the winner home with a bag of not just
great pictures and happy memories. But some well earned cash as well.
Help us make OWP the best it can be. Every krone/dollar
matters. If you can’t support us with money. Please help us share this site to
all your friends and family. Get the word out there. Hopefully we will reach
our goal.
In return we offer the best event of the season. Free of
cover charge for everyone that wants to join us. Write down OWP Hemsedal Café
in your calendar on the 6th of
February 2016. It’s been full house two years in a row now. With a kick-ass DJ,
the dance floor will be hot, and you might even make a new friend under your
favorites picture.
If for some reason you have something else to do on Saturday
the 6th. The exhibition will be open everyday for a month.
If you can countribuate here on Indiegogo.com we will give back
by a fun lottery for every contributor. Some lucky people will get a signed
print in the mail from the OWP 2016 collection!
