This film is an epic drama, which can become a discovery for many people! Thanks to your participation, every investment will be a small brick, which will enable to finish this picture.
Synopsis: A shooting in Maidan haunts the mind of the ex-activist – his friend is killed. Wishing to avenge, he and his girl become prisoners of a warlord, who occupied a part of Ukraine’s territory, who doesn’t obey anybody and dispenses his own justice. Both hostages are sent to the family of three brothers-militants, two of them fight in the Ideologist’s detachment; the third one is disabled from childhood boy, nicknamed Freak, who buries a faceless bodies of the war. A hostage girl is a sex slave of the eldest brother, Maidan activist is tried to be exchanged profitably. The term is 6 days, otherwise he will be killed. But the chain of appeared conflicts is tearing the militants’ family up inside.
Thanks to your support, together, we’ll be able to tell people about the tragedy concerning the whole world, which appeared in Ukraine. It is our anti-war manifesto that we would like to convey to every viewer along with you!
A film “Of humans, horses and heinous” will be the second one from the cycle of stories about present-day Ukraine we want to show the world.
We have already shot an exclusive artistic picture about EuroMaidan events “Once upon a time in Ukraine”, which is unprecedented and unique, socially significant work in the World Cinema, because live-action scenes were shot directly during the real events in Maidan.

Our team, in spite of the lack of finance, considers it our duty to shoot this film. We have already managed to make 70% of the whole material by our own forces! But our resources are not limitless, that’s why we appeal you to join this project.
Your support can help us all together to complete the project in the nearest time. However, you shouldn’t think this film is intended just to remind the world community about problem in Ukraine.The main thing is that we want to avoid such conflicts in the whole world in the future and think this film can make a contribution to the struggle for peace.

A team working on the film “Of humans, horses and heinous” has many years of implementation and realization of socially important projects. It is an organization and holding of the International Human Rights Film Festival "Steps", annually bringing together participants from more than 50 countries around the world under its roof; tens of congresses, actions, conferences on human, animal and environmental rights. Making socially-significant cinema; at the moment the film studio "STEPS" has shot 16 films, 9 of them are full-length feature films, which took part in dozens of international film festivals and received numerous awards.

A film director, producer, actor, scriptwriter.
Since 1997, he has been a president of the Human Rights Centre "Steps" n. a. Leo Tolstoy. His active social activity and creativity are related to the protection of human, animal and environmental rights. In 2000 he received the title of "Person of the Year - Person of the Millennium" in the “Nature Defender of the Year” category (Ukraine, Kiev). In 2004 he created a film studio “Steps”, the main idea of which is making socially significant films. Since 2007, he has founded and organized the International Human Rights Film Festival "Steps", which is held over 7 years, gathering films from more than fifty countries of the world every year. The films demonstrated at the festival, are the films devoted to the human rights, animals and nature protection, as well as films of spiritual, philosophical and social themes. Since 2011 he is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Cinematographers.
In the project “About humans, horses and heinous...” he works as a film director, a scriptwriter.

A repeated champion of Ukraine, a participant of the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championship, actress. At the age of 19 she joined a public organization The Human Rights Centre "Steps", where she participates in numerous campaigns, promotions and demonstrations not only in Ukraine but also at the international level. In 2007 she became an art director of the film studio "Steps". In the project “About humans, horses and heinous...” she works as an actress, production designer and manager of the project.

A cinematographer of the first category.
Many years he works as an operator with Alexander Sokurov. Among his works such pictures as "The Second Circle", "Father and Son", "Alexandra", etc. In 2000, Alexander Burov was nominated for the European Film Award for Best Сinematography - film "The Wedding" by Pavel Lungin. In the project “About humans, horses and heinous...” he works as a cinematographer.![]()

We have managed to make 70% of the whole material by our own forces! Our team thinks that it’s our duty to show the world this uncomfortable truth, which is going on in Ukraine; that’s why the project will be completed anyway, even if we won’t get an expected financial support, which is necessary to shoot the film in full measure, with all planned scenes, and also for performing the highest quality post-roduction.

After completion of the campaign, the film is expected to have numerous premieres, festival life, as well as shows in cinemas and on television.
“Of humans, horses and heinous...” is the second film of trilogy. And after the successful completion of the project, the preparatory stage for the shooting of an independent third part will begin. The script is already being written. We do not disclose the plot of the next film. But we promise that it will be not less important for Ukraine and the world!
