At Chaac Technologies, Inc. we are building the future of water and power for all. Our team has developed a prototype that can provide water and power in one system and we plan to provide our technology to customers in 2021.
Developing this prototype was challenging and we learned building for the future requires risk, hope, and community. Chaac was founded and will continue to operate on a social-impact charter. Our team at Chaac is asking for your help to support our efforts of building a better tomorrow for us all. A future where no community goes thirsty or hungry.
The Impact
Our system can be used in many ways that will have a tremendous impact on local economies, the environment, and most importantly to people. From how communities are developed to how we produce goods or grow our food.
Our goal is to implement our system in ways that have the most impact on people and society. This includes communities where people have limited access to clean water and to farmers around the world who use the latest technologies to produce food for fast growing populations.
If this sounds ambitious - it is. We aim for nothing less than a revolutionary product.
The first water-producing prototype system has been developed and tested by our engineering team. We are now optimizing the system for better efficiencies. We have designed and are fabricating a new electrical turbine based off of tests on the first system. The prototype is capable of being loaded onto a trailer or truck.
We have already secured one patent for certain aspects of our system and have three more pending.
Beneficial side effects are that we are able to remove excess moisture in contained environments - which is helpful for many industries - and, the production of an abundance of compressed air which can be used for pneumatic use, HVAC, or a variety of other needs.
As we work towards a production system this will become smaller and more efficient to run. We are also working on integrations with cutting-edge waste-stream recyclers so this system may eventually produce water and electricity from trash or bio-mass with little to no environmental impact.
Uses
Our first focus is the advanced agricultural field. Hydroponics and sustainable greenhouse manufacturers and inventors are very interested in a product that can supply their basic needs. As of this launch, we have already secured several commitments for this system once it is available. This could lead to an entire revolution of off-grid, fully sustainable, locally-produced produce with smaller footprints and that are more ecologically friendly.
The oranges you buy at the market could be grown just a few miles down the road from you in organic conditions, even in harsh climates. Cheaper, more sustainable, and better tasting.
We also have found a major market with developing nations and areas with limited access to water and power. There are many areas of the world where it is simply not possible to get access to these fundamental resources due to a variety of reasons.
Beyond that, we see uses for a variety of different uses that will improve our daily lives. Reliable and renewable access to fundamental utilities will allow local manufacturing of goods to thrive and allow communities to grow. One day you may have one attached to your house or servicing your neighborhood, producing clean power and water for your family.
What We Are Looking For
We need help to keep this work going. The co-founders of this project have dedicated their own savings and investment into this project along with some generous investments from others. Building this type of system is not cheap and there are still hurdles to overcome - from engineering to legal issues to production.
What You Get
We wish we could deliver one of these systems to every one of our supporters, but quite honestly, we can't. Our initial customer base will be communities feeling the pinch of the inability to access clean water and energy. Eventually, though, we envision our systems servicing a variety of markets, to include your home.
Thus, we've structured our support tiers to reflect that you are helping us build a future system. We want to acknowledge you in a meaningful way as someone who helped us build something revolutionary. Also, we don't want to offer swag that will just be clutter (and pollution). So, we are offering to share a portion of your contribution with Wells of Life, one of our non-profit US 501(c)3 partners who is working to alleviate water access issues in Uganda.
With COVID-19 threatening Africa, Wells of Life has been delivering soap and repairing wells in Uganda. Your support into our campaign directly supports the Wells of Life team that is assisting and delivering these vitally needed supplies.
We want to be fully transparent - this fundraise is for Chaac to help us continue the research and development of the Water and Power System for commercialization.Chaac is a for-profit commercial entity. But, we want to donate a small amount of everyone's backing to this excellent cause. We think this is a better perk than a t-shirt or coffee mug.
$1000 / Ultra Backer: name on "Backers" section of the Chaac website and 20% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
$600 / Mega Backer Plus: name on "Backers" section of the Chaac website and 15% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
$300 / Mega Backer: name on "Backers" section of our website and 10% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
$150 / Super Backer: name on "Backers" section of our website and an 8% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
$50 / Backer: 8% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
$25 / Friend of Chaac: 5% of your backing of Chaac will go to Wells of Life.
Note: due to system limitations of creating perks, we cannot set ranges. Any backing above one of the stated thresholds will be honored even if you do not select a perk. For example, a $500 backing will be honored as a Mega-Backer and we will donate to Wells of Life appropriately.
Risks & Challenges
Any new product and company - especially a revolutionary one - is going to have risks and challenges. We may run into unanticipated scaling or engineering challenges. We will have regulatory hurdles that will need to be navigated. We must manage our cash flow responsibly.
To manage these risks, we have pulled in an experienced team. Our co-founders have over 40 years of combined experience and we have retained top-level legal, accounting, and board counsel.
If you cannot back us financially, we understand! In these difficult times, it is tough. Even if you cannot contribute, please share what we are doing with your friends and family. We appreciate every mention, like, and share!
