So what's the story?
In the not too distant future the world has gone recycling mad! Everything is recycled, even human corpses are turned into renewable energy mulch! On her death bed, an elderly woman makes her son, Morris, promise that he will take her body to be buried by her old childhood home in the country. Morris must break the law and steal his mother's body from the authorities and embark on a dangerous journey into the Scottish countryside.

Who are you and why do you need my money?
We're a group of multi-disciplinary film-makers making a 12 minute short film for our graduation. We have the intention of submitting our film to film festivals around the world and to do this our film must be made to the highest quality. To get our film to such a high standard costs money, and unfortunately it's money we don't have.
We are asking for £1500 and that money has been divided up into four main areas: Art Department, Transport, Catering and Distribution. We are in the very fortunate position to have all of our film making equipment i.e. Camera, lights and grip gear for free thanks to Screen Academy Scotland. We also have personal contribution from the crew totaling £1000 but reaching our funding goal will help phenomenally in production and post production.
Where did the idea come from?
Myself and co-writer/director Lewis were interested in exploring the different ways in which people deal with death. Morris's story is about someone that can't let go even though allowing his Mother to be recycled and become part of the planet is arguably a good thing.
We wanted to explore a rather dark and uncomfortable subject for most people in an amusing and entertaining way. Perhaps the film will make the subject easier to talk about in public or at least open up a debate on the subject of death.
For both myself, Lewis and the majority of the crew this will be the biggest film we've worked on (bar professional films) and is the sum of all our years studying our disciplines at University. We hope the work of all of our talented crew members can be showcased on a world stage, which is what they all deserve with the amount of time and effort they have put into the project.
What if it goes wrong?
With any film or even any project that requires people and money there will always be risks. However our film is already guaranteed to go ahead and will in fact already have been shot and edited by the time this campaign reaches its conclusion.In the meantime we have put ourselves in debt making every effort we can to achieve our vision for this film. Your contribution will ensure that Oh, Morris gets the chance it deserves to be seen by the world!
