Who Are We?
XRhodes Films are an independent, Liverpool-based production company. After the success of their debut film 'To Whom It May Concern' (a zero budget project that can be viewed here), and our first webseries (Forward/Slash Jobs) currently in post-production, we're now pushing on with our third project. And You can help.
Writer/Producer/Director - Murphy Rhodes
![]()
Murphy has been working with film since 2009 and has been acting since around 1997. He founded XRhodes Films in 2016 in order to give a creative outlet to actors, filmmakers and other creatives in Liverpool. More information about XRhodes Films can be found on their website here.
Director of Photography - Ben Molyneux-Chan

Ben is a hero behind the camera so he dresses like one on set. He created Wonder Boy and then, looking to broaden his horizons, he left for Australia. Now back with a newfound energy and a fresh perspective, Ben sees this as the perfect project for him.
Executive Producer - Dean Jones

Dean has been instrumental in finding the seemingly unfindable (yes, I know that's not a real word, mum), including locations, some cast and helping with everything in between. Dean has most recently co-directed and edited 'Faith and Film: Frank Cottrell-Boyce'; A short documentary on faith, film and Frank Cottrell-Boyce's relationship with the two.

The Impact
It's 2018. Prejudice and racism is still prominent throughout the world. We believe our film gets this idea across strongly, in an original, unique way.
You can help spread this message. By chipping in with whatever you can spare, you'll be providing us with the resources to ensure the film is made to the highest standards, and of course, to distribute it and enter it into film festivals.
Risks & Challenges
If we don't reach our goal, we'll still go ahead and make the film, but our message may not be heard loudly enough. We will not be able to afford to send our film out, our post-production may be low quality, and we'll not be able to reimburse ourselves for props and marketing that we've already carried out.
Other Ways You Can Help
We understand that not everybody can contribute financially. If this is you, you can still help.
If you can share this campaign with your friends and family, on Facebook, Twitter, and the rest, there's a possibility someone may see it who believes in this project as much as we do.
Thank you.
