Short Summary
Daniel Overing, an overthinking high school graduate, is mourning the death of his best friend, Gavin Harison. His mother checks up on him from time to time and reminds Daniel that it was not his fault. Daniel truly believes that if he had kept in contact with Gavin, he would have prevented Gavin’s suicide. Out of the blue, Gavin makes a surprise visit to Daniel. While already struggling to separate reality from imagination, Gavin's visit makes Daniel believe that "blood was on his hands." Daniel would have to make a difficult choice of letting Gavin go and freeing his mind, or suffer a similar fate as Gavin did.
