BRIEF REVIEW
My name isAngel Irizarry, and I am a
Dominican Musician. In early 2015, seeking to fulfill my
biggest dream, I applied to the prestigious college of music,Berklee and got average academic
scholarship. Few months later, I
got some support from my country’s Ministry of Education and the Latin Grammy Foundation.
Thanks to them, I completed the academic scholarship.
However, they still
lackUS$20,000 since this
scholarship does not cover maintenance and must be enrolled for the 2016
Summer (by May)because
the grant expires and I cannot let it pass. So, because of this crucial
reason, I decided to start a Pro-Fundraising Campaign with
Indiegogo called “One Step for Angel!” All the proceeds will be used
to cover the necessary expenses. Hopefully, we will achieve, at least, a year
for studying.
I've waited my
whole life for this unique opportunity, and with your help and support,
this will be possible and will become a reality. Your contribution (big or
small) will make a difference... and it will become a big step.

INVESTMENT OF COLLECTED FOUNDS
The estimated goal is US $ 20,000.00
of which US $ 1,000.00 Indiegogo will retain for the service
agreement page.
With the remaining funds, I can pay for my
first year of maintenance, as well as, travelling costs, local
transportation, buy computers and software that requires Berklee, books, health
insurance and other added expenses.
THE IMPACT
The music is a tie that binds people to people, from
my early days as a student and as a teacher, I could see how it transforms
people, and ultimately, I would like that my music transcends
borders. With your help you will be helping to spread this universal language
and transforming lives through music.
I am very grateful that Berklee has been fixed in my
work, who has valued my talent and my compositions, it is a big commitment that
I accept. I take great pride in my music and accept this great
opportunity to demonstrate my roots and show the great artistic
diversity of the Dominican culture.
I'm really anxious to see, with your help, the results of this career,
to continue creating, composing, playing my music to feel the adrenaline that
gives and the thrill of hearing the applause at each stage.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
After the first year, I shall be able to work and seek more
opportunities to continue paying such expenses over the next years of the career.
After all, at the end of this Indiegogo’s campaing first stage, they provide
the option to continue raising funds through its associated page called InDemand.
Even if we cannot collect the necessary funds, I, at least, hope
to be able to cover main registration costs, and after that, figure my way up
by myself!

Breve reseña
Mi nombre es Angel Irizarry,
músico Dominicano. En busca de cumplir
uno de mis sueños, a principios del 2015 aplique a la prestigiosa
universidad Berklee College Of Music y obtuve media beca
académica. Unos meses después logre el apoyo del Ministerio de
Educación de mi país y de la Fundación Latin Grammy.
Gracias a ellos pude completar la beca académica.
Sin embargo, aún hacen faltan
U$20,000, pues esta beca no me cubre manutención y debo inscribirme
en verano del 2016 (mayo), porque ese mismo año se vence la
Beca y no puedo dejar pasar la fecha. Debido
a esto, decidí tomar la iniciativa de emprender una campaña pro
recaudación de fondos con Indiegogo, "One Step For Angel" Los fondos
recaudados serán destinados a cubrir los gastos necesarios. Espero recaudar lo suficiente para lograr mantenerme al menos un año
estudiando.
Esta oportunidad la he esperado toda mi vida,
desde mis inicios como músico era todo lo que quería. Con tu ayuda dejará
de ser un sueño y se convertirá en una realidad. Por grande o pequeña que
consideres tu contribución, tu ayuda va a marcar la diferencia…y se convertirá
en un gran paso.

Fondos Ganados
Para esta campaña necesitare un aproximado de
US$20,000.00 de los cuales Indiegogo retiene US$1,000.00 por el acuerdo del servicio de la página (quedándome
un total de US$19,000.00).
Con los fondos obtenidos en esta
campaña podré pagar por mi primer año de manutención.
Y también cubrir los gastos de transporte aéreo, transporte
local, comprar la computadora y software que exige Berklee, libros, seguro médico
y otros gastos añadidos.
El impacto
La música es un lazo que une a la gente, a
los pueblos, desde mis inicios como estudiante y como profesor, pude ver como
ella transforma a la gente, y se que con mi música puedo lograr grandes retos,
trascender fronteras. Con tu ayuda
estarás colaborando a difundir este lenguaje universal y transformando vidas a
través de la música.
Estoy muy agradecido de que Berklee se haya
fijado en mi trabajo, que hayan valorado mi talento y mis composiciones, es un
gran compromiso que acepto. Deseo aprovechar esta gran oportunidad para tomar
todo lo que me ofrece, usando mis raíces, pues mi país cuenta con una cultura
musical muy variada.
Estoy ansioso por ver resultados de esta
carrera que haré paso a paso con tu ayuda, para seguir creando, componiendo,
interpretando mi música para sentir la adrenalina que da la emoción de escuchar
los aplausos del público y en cada escenario dar un Gran Paso gracias a ti.
Riesgos y desafíos
Después de este
primer año podré trabajar y buscar más oportunidades para
seguir pagando dichos gastos durante los siguientes años de la
carrera. De todos modos, al finalizar esta primera etapa de la
campaña con Indiegogo, ellos
proporcionan la opción de continuar recaudando fondos a través de su página
asociada, InDemand.
Aunque no
logre recaudar todo el dinero, este de todas formas cubrirá los
gastos generales, pues es una GRAN ayuda! Tu puedes ayudar a hacer una
