We are still trying to raise $500 for post-production costs, which include editing, reproduction, distribution, marketing and fees for submitting to film festivals .
If you haven’t already, please consider helping us with this film. You will forever be attached to a piece of movie magic.
And to those who have already helped us, thank you again.
Short Summary
"One Week" is a romantic comedy that gives an honest look into the dishonest world of online dating. We follow Jill, a woman who wants love, but will settle for a date in a hurry just to keep up appearances for her family. However, some things aren't meant to be rushed. She soon finds herself in surprising situations, which leads her to new insights about life and love.
Starring: Jennifer Keller, Brad Carter, Ryan Dobson, Debra Lynn Hull, John Ruby, Steve Sirkis and Jennifer Jarrett.
Directed by: Thomas D. Moser
What We Need & What You Get
In order to make this short film, we need between $1000-$1500 to get started. Wondering what we're going to do with it?
- Studio Lighting Rental will cost roughly $200-$250 a day
- A Sound Technician will cost roughly $300
- Cast/Crew lunch/drinks/snacks will cost roughly $200 a day
If we exceed our goal, we will be able to spend more for our lighting needs, hire the editor we have our eyes on, pay for DVD reproduction and marketing, and pay for the fees associated with submitting this film to the local and international film festivals.
We are grateful for your support! Check the "perks" for contributing to our campaign on the right of the page.
The Impact
Our goal is to provide a romantic comedy that is funny, relatable, and positive in message. We hope that projects like "One Week" will remain a healthy contrast to the dark-themed inclinations of the contemporary independent film industry.
This is a "passion project". Our actors, director and crew are totally committed to this short film because we have a great story to tell. By writing, directing, acting, and shooting the film ourselves, we are creating our own opportunities to work in the Industry. It is an exciting (and scary) thing to do. We sincerely appreciate your help and support.
Once completed, we plan to submit "One Week" to the Film Festivals, including local festivals such as the LA International Film Festival and Hollywood Film Fest, as well as others throughout the US. It is our hope that these venues will help share "One Week" with a broader audience.
