Hi, Marisa here. I am raising funds to watch a short film I
wrote come to life. This is the first time that I am putting on the producer
hat, as well as being a part of a project from beginning to end. We will be
filming half of the short in a car, which sounds so much simpler than it is. We will need
to get a flat bed truck that has extra
room so the crew can move around the car which gives us the opportunity to have
more options with different shots. We will also need a generator for lights and
rigging tools so none of our equipment goes flying. Permits are a must and of
course camera and lenses. I'm so excited to do film this, I've never been on a
moving set before and that's what this is!
I have an excellent team so far. Sarah Haaf will be directing. Jordan Rennick is my co-star and Michael Nie is the director of photography. As well as many friends who will be donating their time to make this an amazing experience and film.
Open Road is a slice of life piece. Have you ever
been in a conversation with your partner that seemed harmless enough when suddenly it spins 360 degrees for the worse? Now imagine your on a road trip and there is no
where to go. This is the premise for Open Road. With your contributions
each one of you is putting on a producer hat with me and helping a group of
people make words on paper come to life.
I already have one short film circulating out there at film
festivals and when all is completed with Open Road hopefully that will be the final destination for this short film. With this piece I wanted to write something that
when people watched it they could not only relate to it but it brought a smile
to their face, it's one of those things where you shake your head and say 'I've
been there'!
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at this and
being supportive. Even if times are rough and you can't contribute it would be
amazing of you to help get the word out. Have a great day!
