Orbis offers a holistic view to technology and utilization of resources that are at a client’s disposal. Everything, from creating custom programs/applications for a customer to utilization of open source and freeware to solve today's business needs, is within our scope of expertise to assist with. We offer availability to our client base as if they had a full team of IT professionals from developers to network engineers to the more common desktop support technician. These services can be part of a managed services contract or called upon in an ad hoc means as needs arise. We also offer the employee and public non-commercial depot and remote assistance for help with all of your home technological needs. For those clients that are part of an established managed support services contract, these individual plans come at a lower price point for their employees.
Market
The market is wide and varied as we offer commercial and residential/home remote support as well as commercial only on-site and managed services contracts and support. Almost all companies have a need from time to time in order to solve technological issues. More than that however is the need for uptime in a company's infrastructure. No one can afford the all too common "our computer system is down". At the end of the day, it affects the bottom line and that is not an acceptable business practice. Orbis Technology Solutions offers SLAs(service level agreements) in order to ensure that up time and keep your business running. All of our customers from the home business professional, the gamer and to the mid and large size enterprise want their technology to work for them, not to work for the technology. That is where we add value.
Competition
Our competition ranges from Best Buy's Geek Squad services to other IT shops that offer pieces of the scope of services that we do. Most IT managed services shops offer support such as Best Buy's model, they will support only items and applications that still have a degree of manufacturer support. That differs from our business model greatly. In addition to that difference which is detailed in the next section, the plethora of services offered by our competitors is normally limited to network and workstations and servers. Orbis takes a much larger view of technological support.
Why Us?
Why us? Many companies struggle to answer this simple question. Orbis Technology Solutions does not. Why us, a simple answer, we do more. Starting with the typical servers, workstations and networking solutions is easy enough, but we expand out to assist in document imaging solutions, GPS solutions, printer management/maintenance, telecom and ISP solutions, phone systems and maintenance and configuration, call center solutions, warranty administration for manufacturers, workstation and server hardware sales and much more.
Orbis is concerned at its core with leveraging any technology you need to get your job done. That includes platforms that we would not benefit financially from as well. Sometimes a simple freeware or web solution gives you what you need to address the issue. Other times just a point in the right direction even if that is to another servicer or vendor is the right answer to the question. In the end, Orbis is here to be your technological advocate above all else. This engenders the trust necessary to advise our clients effectively and in good conscience to the end result that works best for their individual situation.
