Short Summary
There is nothing quite as compelling as having to pay your own way through college. I still remember working full time and taking classes whenever I could. The university didn't have an evening program for Mechanical Engineering, so I sometimes took classes at lunchtime on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I would drive to within 1.5 miles of the building, put on running shoes, and run to and from class (I gave up my Tuesday and Thursday lunch hours to make up for travel time). I remember thinking how great it would be to have something in the trunk of my car that I could use to get to and from class and then have time to eat lunch twice a week. Well, many years later I found myself solving this problem for others with our Origami folding bikes. Now, its time to take the next step and bring a properly-engineered folding e-bike into the fray.
We have finally come to point where our pre-production prototypes have been put through enough of their paces that we are ready to ready to offer the FireFly to the public and hopefully improve the lives of people who need effective and efficient transportation that can be taken just about anywhere.
What We Need & What You Get
We need funding to finalize the production line, secure motors, and improve our warehousing and distribution processes. Bottom line, we need your help to get there.
When the FireFly hits the market, it will be priced at $2,399.00 plus shipping. But, we want to reward you early adopters with a lower price, a free carry bag, and free shipping; this will save you about $460!
If we don't reach our goal, we will offer you a refund, or the bike with about a 30-day delay.
The Impact
E-bikes make it possible for people to bike longer distances so commuting doesn't have to mean driving a car. Since the controls of the bike require some pressure on the pedals, the rider is still getting exercise even while the motor amplifies the riders effort.
We want to see people taking their FireFlies on the bus or train and enjoying the freedom to explore the city unhindered by the need for parking spaces. Take you FireFly with you as you explore.

We know that every opportunity brings with it some challenges. Although we have a wonderful product to share, we need to get enough backers on board to make the FireFly a reality.
