Pappy Slokum Brewing Co.
The Original Pappy
Our passion for quality craft beer is the driving force behind the concept of Pappy Slokum Brewing Co. Our initial focus, upon start-up will be draft only production. We plan to expand into canning our flagship beers as soon as it's financially feasible. Soon to follow, we will have four to five seasonal releases throughout the year as well. Eventually, our goal is to expand production to include unique artisan ales, lagers and barrel aged offerings. We also plan on providing one-off/small batch releases of distinctive craft beers with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit charities. Who knows, maybe a small distillery in the future! Kinda fitting for the Grandson of a moonshiner don't you think?

Our Mission
Meeting the Needs of Our Consumers
Our goal is to tap into the ever growing Texas craft beer market. While Texas is behind the rest of the country, it's growing at a rapid pace. There are a limited number of craft breweries in our immediate area to keep up with the growing demand from our beer starved consumers. We know this sounds like a great problem to have right? Too many customers to keep up with in theory sounds good, but it’s actually a bad thing. Craft beer lovers are wonderful, loyal people, but they will not sit around thirsty waiting on you. We must be prepared to produce great beer and lots of it.
Your Impact
All funds gathered during this campaign will go towards purchasing a stainless steel brew house, fermenters, kegging equipment and required licensing. If this campaign reaches it's goal before the cutoff date, don't let that stop you from contributing to this worthwhile project. The more funds we raise, the better and bigger we can be!
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't contribute monetarily, please spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, word of mouth, etc. It all goes a long way.

Our Beers
McPappy's 80 Schilling - Local Yella - Grave Digger Imperial Red
McPappy's 80 Schilling
Ever watch Braveheart? Those guys with the blue faces are kinda scary. Well no need to fear this Scot! McPappy is medium bodied, dark ale that remains very drinkable. Scottish Pale Malt, English Peat Smoked Malt and five other malts combine to make this beer very complex, but approachable. (Try that with Ol’ Blue Face!) McPappy’s goes well with hearty foods, great company and a warm fire.
Local Yella
Think you don’t like craftbeer? This is the beer that will change all of that. Brewed in the Cream Ale Style, Local Yella is that easy drinking, thirst quenching beer your momma warned you about. Pilsner, Vienna and a touch of corn for sweetness combine with German Hallertau Hops and a clean American Ale Yeast make this beer a must in the Texas heat. Your non-beer drinking friends will love this one too.
Grave Digger Imperial Red
Crimson red in color with layer upon layer of flavors is the Grave Digger’s claim to fame. Copious amounts of American 2-Row, Crystal Malt and a touch of Roasted Barley give this beer the malt backbone it needs. Why so much malt you ask? Well, something has to balance out all of those Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Columbus hops! Citrus, grassy and piney notes from these American grown hops are in your face from the firsts sip to the last. You might be a bit bitter too if you dug graves for a living.
