❤️My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 11 years ago. Since then, every single day has been a battle. A battle against time, against his own body, against his limitations. A battle he never gives up.
- ⚡ At the end of last November, he made a huge decision: he agreed to undergo deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. By the end of January, the device that we had placed so much hope in was activated... But after the procedure, his life completely changed.
- His medication was reduced to a level he had 11 years ago – or even lower.
- This comes with severe side effects and withdrawal symptoms. "Dad's a little different since this happened..." – that's one way to put it. Sometimes, it feels like he's not even the same person we used to know.✊But he keeps fighting.
- His dopamine levels have dropped, and sometimes, his right hand becomes completely unusable.
- He often struggles with panic attacks, and everyday life has become much more challenging for him.
A new level of battle has begun. One where even the smallest victories have huge significance. And we want to help him through this – together!

❤️My mother has been battling breast cancer for two years now. She had to face an aggressive type, but thankfully, we managed to push it back – for now. Yet we can never fully breathe a sigh of relief, as she must undergo continuous check-ups, each time filled with fear of what the results will be.
When she needed help the most, Dad took care of her, looked after her, supported her in everything. ❤️ Now, it's Mom who takes care of him.
❤️They have been married for 33 years. Through good times and bad.⏳ They are truly role model parents.They never fought, always raised me with love and patience. They showed me what real unity and the power of family mean.
❌But now, neither of them can work anymore. My mom is 88% disabled, and my dad has a 55% work capacity reduction. Even though they want to remain active, their illnesses make it impossible.
⚡Dad worked for over 30 years at a company and had 40 years of official employment. Even after his diagnosis, he fought on for another 8 years, working, struggling, but now he has reached his limits. He simply can’t go on any longer. (It has been almost 3 years now.)
✨ That’s why it would be a huge help to create a secure foundation for them. A financial safety net that allows them to rebuild, to have something to rely on, and to finally enjoy life a little – instead of every day being just another battle with illness.
