Short Summary

My name is Adam Volerich and I am a student film maker. A few years ago I spent my summers in the service of the State Park system performing a series of seemingly mundane tasks. While the general experience was a miserable one, I realized later that the time I spent shoveling literal shit with a group of otherwise unemployable over-educated misfits had helped me grow from an angst ridden teen into the allegedly less angst ridden man baby I have become.

"Parklife" is a variation on this story. Rooted in equal parts fact and fiction, it aims to remind us of the years we'll probably spend the rest of our lives trying to forget. This project is extremely personal for me but that doesn't mean I can do it alone. This film won't be a success without your help.

What We Need & What You Get

In order to complete production of "Parklife" I need at least $500 of additional funding. As of now I have financed the film myself but the well has run dry.

Contributors to this campaign will have the opportunity to appear in the film as extras, be featured in the credits and even become a Producer!

In the event that the goal of $500 is not met, any money I do recieve will still be used to help finance the film. I still need to purchase most of my props which include rather expensive Park Staff Uniforms and Gardenning Equipment. This film is being made by a team who expects no pay in return for their services, and for that I will be eternally grateful. But that doens't mean they're willing to starve! Funding will also be used to feed the cast and crew and cover the ever rising costs of transportation.

In the incredibly rare event that funding exceeds the goal, I will use it only for production purposes. Camera equipment is expensive and there are a few devices that would really improve our production value, namely a Tripod Mounted Slider Track and an XLR Shotgun Microphone.

The Impact

This is not my first film but it will be my most challenging project to date. My first short, a stop-motion animated Zombie film, was awarded the 1st Place Prize for Fiction Filmmaking at the New Lens Film Festival. My second project, "Let the Wookie Win" was shot on location in the loud and colorful hustle and bustle of New York Comic Con.

The time, energy, commitment and versatility that made those films possible will pale in comparison to the effort required to complete "Parklife". Those of you who chose to contribute to this project can take pride in knowing you became a part of that effort.

Your financial support will certainly help in a literal sense but the fact that you took the time to read this page and believed in me enough to actually donate will drive me to new heights and ultimately create a project we can all be proud of.

Other Ways You Can Help

Just because you can't contibute to the film financially, doesn't mean you can't become a part of "Parklife". We'll need lots of extras to fill our Park, so feel free to contact me if you're interested in a background role. And don't forget to share our mission on all your favorite social media websites!
