ABOUT ME:
Hello, My name is Paul Spratt and I've been a Stand up Comedian for 14 years. I started in the Philadelphia area while living in Scranton, PA. I would drive hours upon hours to get on any show possible for usually no money. After 5 years I moved to NYC to pursue it more professionally. I spent 7 years in NYC where I recorded my first comedy album "Yeah! Paul's Here" at New York Comedy Club in 2017. I self produced that album with the help of New York comedy club. I then hit the road again and started hard at work on the next one. The pandemic hit and I was forced to move from NYC to Raleigh NC with my parents. I worked in that area for a while after taking about 8 months off. Now I'm back in the Philadelphia area again and back in Scranton and ready to record the next one. This has been 5 years of extensive road work and traveling, and its the most excited I've been about my material and I think I'm the best comic I've ever been. I'm self producing the video version of this special after recording the audio version for Helium records on Oct 26th. The filmed version will be record at the coolest punk rock venue in Wilkes-Barre, PA Karl Hall this place is super awesome intimate and what I envision the perfect venue for this.
I need your help funding this. Not everyone can make it to be part of the actual show and I understand that. Being a comic is one of the hardest careers you can participate in and you don't make a lot of money until you start becoming well known. I'm self-producing this special and it means I'm paying for all of it myself. So I decided to start this campaign to give you guys the chance to help me. You can say you helped me make this and bring it out for more people to see.
What you will help me achieve when donating would be the hugest part of helping ease the financial burden on myself to get this done. I'm a full time comic but at no means rich. It's a grind for sure and with your help I can make this special out to be what I would love for it to be to get the material out to the masses. It means the world to me.
DETAILS ABOUT THE PROJECT
I'm still currently working out the logistics about what I can get done and what I will need. Everything and everyone will be hired directly from the local PA area to support small business and artists in the area. Also Karl Hall a local performance venue in Wilkes-Barre, PA
I figured the project will be done very indie but the best possible way. It would cost about $3,000. I know that I may not reach that goal but any money raised towards that would be huge and would be less money that goes onto my credit cards and putting me in debt. I will make zero profit from the money raised and doing the show everything is going back into the project.
- Full professional audio mixing
- proper audio equipment to fully record and get the best experience to pair with the filming
- renting camera equipment and hiring a camera crew, a 4 camera shoot with high quality cameras
- running the venue and the actual show and paying the other comics on the show
