Went through a foreclosure during the recession, please help me rebuild
Hi. My name is Paul Garner and I live in Dallas, Texas. Briefly, after working nights, overtime and weekends, and building a part time vending business during the daytime, having decided I'd like to have children I'd purchased a three bedroom fixer upper and I planned on fixing up the townhome and building the business into a full time venture first, quitting the two jobs, then starting to date again, having time to do so. I'd built an outstanding credit rating and furnished the townhome nicely. I'd worked hard and accomplished quite a bit.
Then, due to circumstance beyond my control, including the recent recession, I went through a foreclosure and found myself homeless, unemployed, broke, and deep in debt.
Last year I completed a bankruptcy-I'm currently working for a temp agency, renting a small room, earning a minimum wage, and saving what I can. I hope to rebuild the vending business and start a family and time is running short.
Considering my position, I've decided to ask for help. I've always been a generous man, and I'll happily "pay forward" all contributions once I'm back on my feet by helping others. I'm sorry that I have so few perks to offer. For donations of $100.00 or more, I will also happily volunteer my time on weekends to the charity of your choice, as long as it is in Dallas and will accept volunteers. Here are a few I've found to choose from:
The Stew Pot-helping the homeless
The Family Place-helping battered women and children
North Texas Food Bank-helping provide food for the poor and needy
Texas Stampede-helping Childrens Medical center
Treasured Friends-helping unwanted animals find homes
If you decide to contribute and know of any others that you would prefer, please let me know by email at the address below and I will happily volunteer for that organization.
I plan to continue working for the temp agency as I build the business and as the business grows my income will increase. A steady supply of vending locations is available in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. One may find them listed for sale in local newspapers and on the internet. Brokers and locating services can be found in the yellow pages. I have a thorough knowledge of how to build and operate a vending business.
Meeting my goal will enable me to purchase a van, a cart, an ice chest, and machines on location, building a part time business which I may then build into a full time venture using my own earnings. Any funds raised will be used for these purposes. Rebuilding the business will enable me to provide for a family and repay the remaining debts.
