No matter who you are, or where you come from, anyone can be radicalised...
Peace Be Upon Him is a 25-minute single drama in which a British man becomes radicalised by a white pride group following his brother's execution at the hands of Islamic State militants.
Celebrating TEN YEARS in 2016, Seraphim Pictures is going to bring you Peace Be Upon Him, a drama about the rise of Islamophobia in the UK, and the frustration that citizens feel in a world where the politicians don't seem to care. With the powers that be ignoring the plight of the ordinary man, people are taking the law into their own hands, often with disastrous consequences.
SERAPHIM PICTURES is a UK independent film company based outside of Cardiff, South Wales. The Company was accredited by the 59th Festival de Cannes for its short film The Things Unsaid in 2006, and has since then had worked screened across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. After producing short films the Company is now looking towards LONG-FORM SHORTS, straddling the space between feature films and conventional shorts; Peace Be Upon Him is the first of these projects.
The film will be produced in August 2016, with a view to taking it to the American Film Market in Los Angeles this November. We need YOUR help in bringing this story to arthouse theatres, broadcast, online and mobile media. We believe it's important to give a voice to the underrepresented on both sides of the divide.
Production will take place in CARDIFF and will introduce people from the Muslim community to the film world. We will be offering paid positions to people looking to enter into the industry in all stages of the production process, so that people will have ownership of a story that directly affects them.
The film will be accompanied by a short MAKING-OF DOCUMENTARY showing the different communities of Cardiff that come together to make the film. The documentary will be screened at the film's premiere and online.

But what happens if we don't meet our entire goal? Well for starters we'll feel more than a bit sad...however as explained above we'll have other methods of funding to produce the film. This would mean doing things cheaper with lower production values - we'd have to slash department budgets and pay people expenses rather than the wages that they deserve.
Peace Be Upon Him will still be made, but we know you'd rather we make it with as big a budget as possible! So dig deep - this project depends on YOU to be the best it can be!
