Our Story

A family drama with a pseudo-spiritual twist. It involves a prideful son, a loving mother, and a homeless man who predicts the future.

From award winning writer Sean Sabo, this story is about a troubled son who doesn't appreciate his mother until it becomes too late. He is teaming up with Bay Area Indie director Bram Skellton and experienced and talented cinematographer Theodore Allen to produce this psychologically moving story. However, they need your help to get this production off the ground.

The Filmmakers:

Theodore Allen - Director of Photography

For the past ten years Theodore Allen has worked as a cinematographer, editor, and director on projects all around the world. His passion for film making has taken him to numerous countries including Israel, Jordan, Peru, and Korea, often times as a cameraman for documentary projects. He loves both the creative and technical aspects of his work and strives to use his skills to push the envelope of independent film making. In an ever changing film-making world, he quickly adapts to new technology and styles, but he never fails to stay true to his artistic quality. He currently is finishing up an independent feature film and always is in the works for upcoming projects. Theodore earned a degree in Cinema Studies at San Francisco State University and is currently a freelancer in the San Francisco Bay Area. http://www.theodoreallen.com/

Bram Skellton - Director

From a young age, Bram has seen the world differently than most. With a natural eye for poetic cinematic images, his raw talent has led him to the career of film making. For over ten years, Bram has written and directed various independent films in the San Francisco Bay Area. His most recent work is a captivating short film titled She's BeautifulShe's Beautiful is receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews and will be submitted to festivals this Winter. His directing influences include Steven Spielberg, David Fincher, Terrence Malick and Paul Thomas Anderson.

Sean Sabo - Writer

The first film he wrote and produced at fifteen years old won Best Comedy at the Windy Hills Kids Film Festival. Since then, Sean has developed a passion for storytelling through film. He has written two feature length screenplays and has produced and edited various projects. In May 2012, he will graduate from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Cinema with an emphasis on Screenwriting. In May 2011, he wrote and produced a romantic drama short film titled She's Beautiful with fellow filmmaker Bram Skellton.

The Impact

This story is about a strained relationship between a mother and her son. We believe this relatable topic is an important story to tell and this thirty minute film will be entered into film festivals. We feel this film will have an impact on the film making world. We need your help to get this production started. By donating, you will be supporting up-an-coming independent film makers!

What We Need & What You Get

Our goal is $4,000 to get this production off the ground. The money will be used for production costs (Transportation, Food), location costs and equipment rental. Believe us, we would love to make this film with our own resources. However, in reality, we need some help. In helping you will be supporting independent filmmakers. And for that, we will give you credit in the film. If you donate the minimum $10, you will be recognized with a special "Thank you" in the credits. If you donate $50, you will be recognized with a "Thank you" and also will receive a DVD copy of the final film. If you donate $250 or more you will be recognized as an Associate Producer. If you donate $1000 dollars or more, you will be an Executive Producer! How awesome is that! Remember, this film will be submitted into film festivals throughout the country.
