The Third Issue!
This will be the third issue of my series of Peter Pan the Vampire comics that follows vampires from fairy-tales, myths, legends, and folklore experienced through the eyes of a slayer named Gwyen that becomes a friend of Peter's when she discovers that not all vampires are bad (as told in issues 1 and 2).
Issue 3 is my first comic that is colored with the aid of the computer thanks to the fine books Hi-Fi Color for Comics and Mastering Digital Color by Brian and Kristy Miller. I am really loving the look of this one compared to the colored pencil look of my first go around in comics and I am sure you will love it too!
Issue 3 is about the vampire slayer Gwyen being near death from her run-in with the vampire Jack Frost when the vampire Maui offers to make her a vampire to save her life. The story carries us through her choice and what happens after that.
I have been trying to figure out how I can get my books out quicker and I've decided to make the future issues 12 pages (the first two issues were 24) and now I can even lower the prices too.
A Bit About Myself
I have been drawing comics since childhood and it's all I've ever wanted to do. Getting my books published was a huge milestone in my life, but I don't want it to stop there. My goal is to keep making comics as long as I am alive and I've got a lot of story and script already in the works. I have already had some success with over 200 readers of my previous books and know they want to read the continuation.
My wife Annie and I have been married for 15 years and we have three awesome daughters and a newborn son; Ryleigh Jo, Shandee, Kara, and Johnny. We live in a very small town in Utah called Riverside and are surrounded by family.
I work for a large food distribution warehouse full time, substitute in my school district, and occasionally weed eat my local cemetery.
Those are the main reasons I am doing a campaign. With a full time job and two side jobs I still struggle to be able to get my books out and buy the equipment I need to work on it. It means the world to me that you are reading this and are interested in helping me reach my dreams.
What I Need & What You Get
How you help me:
- Your contribution will help me get the art supplies I draw with, a laptop, and programs that I use to make my books.
- You will also be helping me with the printing costs, shipping and packaging, promotional expenses, and all the other stuff that go into making comics.
- And also, hopefully, it will help my wife see how making comics is more than just an expensive hobby.
The Perks!
There's a lot in it for you too:
- I know that you all want issue 3, but I understand that some of you may want the full story and issues 1 and 2 will be available as some of the perks.
- Have you wanted to see your ad for your book, shop, or thing in a comic book? That will be available in the highest perk option.
- Even if I do not make my goal your contribution and aid has helped me and your perks will be sent out.
- When I do reach my goal everyone who opted for the $25.oo, $50.oo, and $100.oo PERKS will also have a Rentnarb Studios Comics tee added to their shipment!
Other Ways You Can Help Out!
I know that not everyone can contribute, but that doesn't mean you still can't help out. Here are some of the other ways you can help:
- Share my campaign on your facebook, twitter, deviantART, Pintrest, or other social media sites. Tell everybody you know!
- You can even use the Indiegogo share tools! Click on the icon you like and share.
- Talk about it with others. Not everyone is on social media and they may not have heard about it.
THANKS!!
I am so thankful for all that you can do for me. Thank you for reading my campaign. Thank you to all that click on the perks. And thanks to everyone who shares this campaign and helps get the word out. There are so many of you out there responsible for making me believe that dreams can come true. I thank all who have helped me make mine true and hope all of yours come true in return. ,gb
