Film Summary
A movie within a movie? Four highschool seniors spend their last spring break together with one goal in mind. While filming out on an old ranch, they discover the film they're trying to make might not be too far from reality. When a masked killer finds his way onto set, the four must come together and fight to survive. Set in 1986, we follow the characters as they discover themselves and the mystery around the killer.

Our Fundraising Goal
Our goal for this campaign is to raise up to $7,000 dollars. With a forty page script, our film proves to be nothing if not ambitious. We're doing our very best to save every penny we can for the making of this film. However we are also very aware of the fact that we cannot go at this alone. That's where you come in!
Where The Funds Are Going
-
PAYMENT FOR CAST & CREW Our largest chunk of the budget will go directly towards paying the wonderful cast and crew. $2,500 of our total budget is planned to be evenly distributed between all of the hardworking people it will take to make this film.
-
LOCATIONS This film wouldn't work without the perfect locations for both the ranch and the diner. With the exception of 7 pages from the entire script, the story primarily takes place at the diner that acts as the groups 'hangout spot' and the old ranch that they intend to use to make a horror film. Between the cost of the AirBnB and the renting of the diner, the cost for locations racks up to $2,000.
-
TIME ACCURATE VEHICLE Due to the film being set in the 80s, we need to rent a vehicle for the duration of the shoot that's accurate to the 1980s. A 2008 Ford Edge would definitely stick out like a sore thumb so we've locked in a 1974 Volkswagen Bus to rent. The cost of renting the vehicle for the duration of the shoot sits at $1,000.
-
FOOD FOR CAST & CREW Our shoot is expected to run a little over a week and we intend to feed everyone on set for each and every day. The expected cost for food is about $1000. Honestly, the cost of feeding everyone is very well expected to exceed $1,000 dollars. We just want a little help to ensure we are taking good care of our cast and crew!
-
COSTUMES AND PROPS The use of props plays a huge role in the making of this film. Set safe props are crucial to ensure the safety of the actors. With no room for stunt doubles in the budget, our cast will be preforming all of their own stunts. We wouldn't want someone to actually be stabbed just for the sake of a good shot. On top of that, it's important that the characters look like they've been taken straight out of the 80s. Our estimate for all costumes and props is $500.
