The series will act as a welcoming and non-judgemental platform to educate the public on why millions of people are making a change in their habits for the betterment of the animals, the planet, and their own health. The word "vegan" has been receiving a lot of attention lately, and for good reason. To say it lightly, our planet is in serious trouble, human health is deteriorating, and most shocking of all, we're killing billions of animals every single year to attempt to satisfy an insatiable taste for animal products. But what if there was another way? Planet Vegan takes a deep dive into the world of veganism and explores the main players behind the rapid growth of the vegan movement, while offering an informative and non-judgemental platform for vegan-curious people to learn about a movement that is taking the world by storm.

The Planet Vegan team spent the past year traveling around the globe and documenting the world's most exciting vegan events, most forward thinking companies, most prominent animal rights activists, and so much more. This journey took the team to over ten countries and offered them a chance to see that the vegan movement is not an isolated event, instead it is a worldwide movement that is taking hold and it's taking hold at a pivotal time in human history.

But now, the Planet Vegan team needs your help. Our previous crowdfunding campaign (when the series was named Vegan Round the World: The Series) was enough to cover the production costs for Season One, but now the team needs your help to get Planet Vegan onto millions of screens around the world. The team has completed the production phase of the series and now needs to ramp up post-production to have Planet Vegan ready for you to view by Winter of 2019. We'll face many costs along the way including paying our incredible editor Lars Walther to edit his heart out full-time, hiring lawyers to do whatever magic they seem to whip up, help market the series to a broad range of vegans and nonvegans around the world, have multilingual professionals subtitle the series, create incredible soundtracks, and many, many more.

Planet Vegan is made up of five unique episodes that perfectly encapsulate the vegan movement as it stands today. Here are the details on each:

1. The Vegan Marketplace

The Vegan Marketplace episode features Beyond Meat, Veganz, Stray Dog Capital, New Roots Cheese, Corkor, Virtuous Pie, Mosa Meat, and more. It asks the question, "Do we need to be consuming animal products to live happy and healthy lives?" and investigates the pitfalls of a lifestyle high in animal product consumption for the animals, our health, and the health the planet.

2. Plant-Based Health and Wellness

This episode features Dr. Michael Greger, Rich Roll, Dr. Neal Barnard, GreenFare Cafe, PCRM, Cam F Awesome, Chef Charity Morgan, and many more. This episode will take a look at the many health benefits of adopting a plant-based diet and dives into deeper issues such as masculinity and the current state of the healthcare system.

3. Global Vegan Events

From cruising through Cambodia on an all-vegan river cruise to partying through the night at Vegan Camp-Out UK, the Global Vegan Events episode shows that around the world, vegans are having more fun than they know what to do with.

4. Vegans Around the World

This episode features some of the most well known vegans in the game and tells the story of their behind-the-scenes lives and highlights the ways that they're making changes in their local communities. This episode includes Chocolate Covered Katie, Jon Venus, STLvegGirl, and more.

5. Global Vegan Activism

This episode features some of the top names in the animal rights activism world and asks the question, "Why are people fighting so hard for a vegan world?" This episode features James Aspey, Earthling Ed, PETA, Animal Place, The Vegan Society, Mercy for Animals, The Save Movement, Anonymous for the Voiceless, Seb Alex, Direct Action Everywhere, and more.

Doch was, wenn es einen anderen Weg gäbe?

PLANET VEGAN schaut hinter die Kulissen der veganen Welt und spricht mit den Menschen, die diese Bewegung voran bringen, während ohne Vorwürfe oder Vorurteile eine Plattform für vegan-Neulinge geschaffen wird, um mehr über dieses rapide wachsende Phänomen zu lernen.

Das PLANET VEGAN Team ist ein Jahr lang um die Welt gereist, um die aufregendsten veganen Events zu erhaschen, die fortschrittlichsten Firmen zu interviewen, die prominentesten Tierrechtsaktivisten zu befragen und viel viel mehr.

Diese Reise führte durch über zehn Länder und zu der Erkenntnis, dass Veganismus kein lokaler Trend, sondern eine weltweite Bewegung ist, die zu einem entscheidenden Punkt in der Menschheitsgeschichte stattfindet.

Jetzt müssen wir die Serie nur noch auf Millionen von Bildschirmen rund um die Welt bekommen.

Wir haben die Produktionsphase abgeschlossen, jetzt heißt es Vollgas für die Postproduktion – die Nachbearbeitung – um PLANET VEGAN bis Winter 2019 fertig zu stellen.

Dafür stehen natürlich viele Kosten an, ob die Bezahlung für unseren Vollzeit Cutter Lars Walther; Anwaltskosten, um die rechtliche Seite der weltweiten Vermarktung zu sichern; die Erstellung von mehrsprachigen Untertiteln; ein eigens komponierter Filmsoundtrack und mehr.

PLANET VEGAN besteht aus fünf einzigartigen Episoden, die alle Facetten des Veganismus beleuchten werden:

1. Der Vegane Marktplatz

4. Vegane Persönlichkeiten

James ist passionierter Weltenbummler und veganer Fulltime Filmemacher.

Seine Reisen in über 40 Länder haben ihm eine einzigartige Perspektive auf das Wachstum der veganen Bewegung gegeben.

Editor/Cutter Lars Walther

Die Filmkarriere von Lars startete nach Abschluss seiner Schauspielausbildung 2008 in Köln.

Er entwickelte schnell eine Leidenschaft für die Arbeit hinter der Kamera und führte Regie bei Kurzfilmen, Werbekampagnen und Webserien.

Seine Liebe zu den Tieren führten den Synchronsprecher schließlich zur Entwicklung des größten veganen Podcasts im deutschsprachigen Raum – des "VeggieWorld Podcast" – im Juni 2017.
