Short Summary

When Gayatri, 70s, confesses to having an extramarital affair, her world turns upside down. Nobody in her family wants to listen to what she has to say — except for Meera, her granddaughter.

Meera loves her family, but has been keeping a large part of her identity secret for far too long. When she agrees to listen to her grandmother's side of the story, she finds that she might finally have some space to share the parts of her that she had been keeping to herself.

This is a story about two women who were once each other's greatest confidants; two women who challenge each other with new and old ideas about love, two opposites who come to understand one another in ways they never have before.

This film is important not only because it showcases two Indian women from different generations talk about ideas that are still largely considered taboo in India, like infidelity and queerness, but also because it is backed by a majority BIPOC and female/non-binary cast and crew. 

What We Need & What You Get

We need $10,000 to fund this film, which will go towards:

• Ensuring our majority BIPOC and female/non-binary cast and crew is paid fairly
• Camera, lighting and sound equipment
• Film festival submission fees
• Graphics elements and marketing materials
• Post-production 

In addition to amplifying stories told by women of color, you will also receive a credit in the film! Donations of $200 and more will receive a producer credit on the film as well.
