Short Summary
We have designed and developed what we like to call a pocket light. It is the size of a credit card and emits 5watts of light for over 10.000 hours. It uses lithium battery technology and led technology as well as hard ABS plastic technology.
What We Need & What You Get
Here is a simple Breakdown for how our fundraising will work:
- For every light you buy, we will donate a light to a country where electricity does not exist or is scarce.
- Our goal is to get at least 100,000 lights donated and help "Light The World"
The Impact
An estimated 79 percent of the people in the third world
-- the 50 poorest nations -- have no access to electricity, despite
decades of international development work. The total number of
individuals without electric power is put at about 1.5 billion, or a
quarter of the world's population, concentrated mostly in Africa and
southern Asia.
Can you imagine if we could donate the 1.5 billion simple lights to all those people? I know it seems like a long shot but its definitely possible to touch that number with your help.
Risks & Challenges
We really have no risks as we have already secured a manufacturer for the product. The only challenge we have is getting the lights where they need to go. Thats where you help. A Simple donation can change the life of someone. Make a change, hekp make a difference.
