Testing process of PocketHub:
Here is the the testing process of PocketHub we filmed at our SMT factory. We have 3 times full function testing for every pieces Type C hub after SMT and DIP. The 1st testing is 100% current testing to check out if there is any shortcut on the PCBA, we set 5V on the current equipment and connect the PCBA by Type C port, if the current is above 0.02A, that means the PCBA have circurt problem, have go back to production.The 2nd time testing is 100% full function testing for each port, including the HDMI, SD card, micro-SD card, 2*USB 3.0A, specially for the USB C fast charging function! We test every pieces by Macbook! The 3nd times is after assembly with case, we will do the same testing with PCBA again(100% for every pieces, full function), to confirm every pieces work perfectly before ex-factory.
Tooling of PocketHub
Here is the tooling of PocketHub. The tooling normally takes 40-50 days production since mechanical design is ready. T1 takes arround 25days, While T1 is ready, we always takes the T1 case to fit with PCBA board, to find if there is any mistake to fix while T2. T2 takes arround 10 days, after T2 the tooling is nearly 90% finish. Sometimes T3 is the final one, sometimes it takes more time to fix the small problem, like connector positions,surface and others.
