How did we achieve such a low price?
We think that everyone could have the access to 3d printing.Our mission was to make 3D printing simple and affordable.We redesigned and customized the motor while leaving only the essential structure needed for stable, quality 3D printing to make it truly affordable and completely effortless to use.We know that some point in the future 3D printing must be a part of everyone’s lives.
We rewarded our supporters with PocketMaker for only $129,but the retail price for PocketMaker will be $149.

Risks and challenges
As with any innovative project, we face several key risks and challenges.
In production, our parts will be made using injection molding and other processes. For a high-quality machine, we require precise parts,which means that we need to secure a very reliable manufacture partner that will deliver great quality. We have talked to many reliable manufacturers in Shenzhen who would like to support our production.
If any inaccuracies occur，we will have to go back and tool them again. So there is typically a 45day lead time to fabricate the molds,and this is where delays may occur because we strictly demand the best quality for our parts.We will not release a printer that doesn't meet our high standards.To prevent this delay, we have also been working hard with mold design specialists.

What type of file does PocketMaker print?
PocketMaker prints STL files, the most common 3D model format in 3D printing.
How is The PocketMaker powered？
Each PocketMaker will be shipped with a power supply compatible with the customer's local power: E.g. If you live in a country with 220V you will get a supply that runs at 220V.

You can order more Pocket PLA filaments through the PocketMaker app.
Does PocketMaker work with open source slicing software?
Yes.
How can I get the print models?
There are two ways you can obtain 3d models:
1. The PocketMaker App provides 3D models that can easily be printed using our “One-Touch-Print” function.
2. PocketMaker’s official website (under construction) will provide software and thousands of 3D models.
