A Story About Redemption
(We want to make a 5-8 minute short about a broken woman, who has been abused all her life and falls into prostitution. She discovers that she is HIV positive and is forced to make a decision as she struggles with her own demise. It is a story about redemption.
We are happy with the length of the script (4pages) because we would rather make a short quality film rather then a longer one where quality can suffer due to limitations. We have some awesome people on board; Including Iuliana Diaconescu as Producer, Hugo Lagraba as Writer and DIrector, Christian Simpson as Director of Photography who is one the best in Charlotte, and Collin Scouten as Editor. We also have access to a RED One Camera.)

(We want people to see the world from the eyes of the main character, a broken woman who is marginalized from mainstream society. Many people cannot imagine what it is like to live such a hard life. We would like people to understand what redemption means to her. Many people in her position feel they have no control and become submissive. But she rises above in the only way she can. She finally takes control of her life, of the short time she has left, in her own way.)
(Our budget breakdown depends on how much money we raise. We would like to spend about $3000 on lenses and grip crew. However, we need an awesome actress for this drama so that will also be an equal priority, so the lenses and grip budget might have to be adjusted. Ideally, the remaining $2000 would go the talent, feeding the crew, any location costs, and film festival entries. If we have any surplus we will only use it to submit the film to more film festivals. If we do not raise the money we need the quality of the film will suffer (image and action) and will not be the compelling story it can be.
We set a low limit for our budget because we want to make sure we reach our goal, to get the most value out of the donations. Our goal is the absolute minimum. However, we would really like more funding to make a excellent quality film.)
